  2. I class Goodwood as one of, if not, the best show of the year. In fact, I'm pretty sure people globally do, whenever I mention it to someone in the USA - they can only dream to visit Goodwood.

As much as I love smaller shows, it's undeniable Goodwood is huge. People visit from all over Europe.

Hypercars worth 10's of millions pooled together on display, a whole rally stage, there is something there for everyone.

It's less of an individual 'community' event as such, you can't have a 'club stand' at Goodwood which is probably why you don't see many posts in here. That being said, have some photos below I took this year.

Just to chip in, if anyone is on the fence about them - I've got an old Vipec ECU that runs on the Link G4+ platform, it's seriously good and the UI of their software is friendly.
Their forum is really useful, and plenty of active users willing to help
It's well worth learning a bit about them, and in this instance I'd recommend Evans Performance Academy over HPA (or both to plug any gaps).

Thanks for your input mate ❤️ Hope you've been keeping well since we last spoke!

  4. Personally, I'd choose manual if it's a weekend warrior, much more involvement in driving the car. Although, I have heard the auto gearbox is also decent.

It's more of a personal preference thing as well as depending on what you actually use the car for, there's no right or wrong answer to your question.

  5. Hi Andy,

I'd personally get it done as a preventative measure but obviously that's your call. It's one of the most common issues with these engines, other than that they're pretty bulletproof.

Depending on location, if you do decide to go ahead, give Ali @ AB Autoworks or Horsham developments a shout for some quotes on getting them done.

  6. Just to add, they fit all Recaro CS's so if any of you have other cars which use these seats, they will also work.

    Artega GT

    BMW Alpina B3 GT3

BMW Zuberhorsitz 1 Series, 3 Series

    Ford Focus RS

    Lotus Evora

    Lotus Evora GTE

    Mini JCW

    Nissan GTR Nismo

    Nissan Note Nismo S

    Nissan Fairlady Z Nismo

    Renault Mégane Trophy

    Renault Mégane Coupé RS

    Renault Mégane RS

Renault Mégane RS Red Bull Racing RB8

Renault Mégane RS 205 Australian Grand Prix

    Renault Clio RS

Renault Clio RS Edition Red Bull

These are some which came with the same Recaro CS's fitted from factory.

@andy james Any chance you can clarify arrival time? It has two different times on the hangar. 7am arrival would mean leaving here at 4:30/5am ☠️

Ignore this, just called Castle Combe. They're saying entry starts from 7am for our club and we'll have to be there by 9:30am at the very latest as that's when it opens to spectators.

  8. Ali @ AB Autoworks but it looks like he's around 1h 45m from Lancaster (he's based in Halifax).

That being said, if it's just servicing, any performance car garage will be able to handle it. For more complex jobs like oil gallery gaskets and other known issues, Ali is your man.
