  1. cheers for the kind words, i have done rear diff bushes, as soon as he pointed camera in my face i forgot every single mod that was on the car! i am pretty sure it is just coikovers being on full soft the dampers were probably not doing anything at all. full soft on a b16 is still pretty stiff especially for uk roads but over there it really needed more. I would do the diff bushes first they are relatively easy, the z1 inserts were done by Horsham and Craig said they were an absolute pita to do had to pretty much put the entire cars weight on them to get them to slide in. oh and do the trans mount!
  2. He used to race scooters and maybe other child like things, got a job at ring garage and has just done 1000s and 1000s of laps, Auto Alex set this up for me, I'm not sure I'd of volunteered it, but if he crashes he pays. First few corners, as you can tell, I was wondering what I'd done but glad I did it as I can see what my car is actually capable of now!
  3. You imagine Misha takes it for a little spin and build up to race pace but no, he gets in car turns off traction and floors it
  4. Ignore my face, it's flipping scary being in your car with him. https://youtu.be/1wAJxixmeZs?si=O1aB5gy5QDuZEeXi
  5. The clutch slave is still the plastic piece of crap version earlier ones use, they will fail with age they just won't be many 2017 370z's with 60/70k on them
  6. Being an 18 plate you shouldn't have to worry about gallery gaskets so depending on milage you may have clutch slave issues these can fail at around 70k and is gearbox off. A quick look over for rust, bit should be ok but you never know if it was parked by the sea. Tyres are not cheap so make sure you have some good ones on it apart from that you just check out the normal stuff.
  7. My mate is about to sell his r8, re performance have said it's one of the best early r8s they have seen and it's you tube famous...
  8. I've used cheap scanners for years but recently splashed out on this: TOPDON OBD2 Code Reader Scanner ArtiDiag500S, Engine/ABS/SRS/Transmission Car Diagnostic Tool, 5 Reset Services for Oil/BMS/Bleeding/DPF/Throttle Adaptation, Free Lifetime Upgrade, AutoVin https://amzn.eu/d/230TD4W It can be a bit clunky to use but does have ability to read abs and airbag faults which save a visit to a garage. Very happy I bought it especially as I am trying to get a V10 s6 back on road at the moment!
  9. I fitted a Luk dmf clutch kit in my 370z removing the solid flywheel jwt set up, the noise just annoyed me and the stock set up can still take lots of abuse, if you can afford it go dmf.
  10. I used to help Def organise that when it was an sxoc meet, was a really civilised event, anyone attempted a burn out and they were chucked out, really sad to see what it's become. Anyway buy Adrian's wing.
  11. I think there are some Kia's that you can start with a usb stick with right software on...
  12. Yup mishimoto are generally just rebranders of cheaper stuff
  13. Mishimoto use this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305209675383?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=inlepoudtoa&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=5jaHyDhxT--&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I fitted mine on my old 350 by putting a strap on front of engine between the v
  14. You don't mention of you have had gallery gaskets done and it CSC has been replaced?
  15. I have had 2 people try and buy mine and it's not for sale, buyers are out there, take some new pictures with it back on stock wheels, your pics make it quite hard work having to tilt phone etc
  16. The fact it's low milage is nice but it seems expensive for a de, I know the market has changed a bit but it's coming back down now very quickly. Looking at MOT history the brake lines have been advisory and a fail so will want to check those out also with they amount of mileage it has done I'd bet that the tyres are old and or starting to perish so budget for that. The lightweight flywheel may mean you get chatter coming from it which would annoy me if I was spending 8k plus on a de powered car
  17. This was taken just before Misha off of the Nurburgring took it round the track
  18. If be tempted with the contis, they have five better in some reviews, the reason the mp4s get so much press is they pay YouTubers a fortune to promote them, I'm not saying they don't deserve the praise, they just get too much, the contis and f1s are as good and are better in some situations.
  19. These cars are tested for normal driving in death valley coping system is up to the job, they are not ragged in death valley and oil cooling system is not up to the job, oil cooler first.
  20. Yea still cheaper than my spend and I'm guessing it wouldn't take a year to sort it out after failed parts from multiple companies ( it's had one new clutch and flywheel and 4, yes 4 clutch slaves
  21. You do it want to know what I have spent on sorting out clutch slave issues on my car, actually I don't want to know what I've spent on them, auto would of been much cheaper!
  22. ive had a busy week or two with this car... Was heading to Caffeine and Machine to watch The Smoking Tire do a podcast, floored it to get onto motorway and alternator left the chat, limped it home, then jumped in my mate hybrid corolla to make the journey...ugh. The following Monday a denso alternator landed on my doorstep so work commenced, Fitting alternators on 370z's is not that fun, you have do remove a fair bit to get to it, rad fans, coolant hoses and a few more bits, when that was done and car was in the air i thought i would fit the whiteline diff bushes that i have has sat on my shelf for a couple of months, not the worst job in the world but that diff is heavy, getting it back in on your own is a mission, anyway, the bushes in the ears are nice and easy, just hammer out and chuck new ones in the main bush in subframe takes some getting out, a recip saw and drill had it out with only mild swearing, fitting the new one was pretty easy as long as you have some diff removal tools, you will be able to make it work. Quick tip dont try to undo the abs sensors from diff case instead of unplugging them... one undid then the second sheared off, this was all the excuse i needed to jump on Z1's website and order their rear diff cover, 2 days later that was on and filled with two l litres of motuls finest and diff was back on, along with lots of swearing as i lifted that thing back home. The diff bushes are a must have mod, my car has about 88k on clock and the bushes really tightened up the back end, even the wife said that the car felt more stable as a passenger. so now car was in the air and exhaust was off so in went the radium surge tank set up i purchased from Torqen about 4 months ago, not an awful job but not much fun as you are kinda playing with fire if anything went wrong, instructions are great but designed for lhd cars, that all done, the car sounds amazing when you turn ignition on as the aem and walbro fuel pump kick on, now i should have no more fuel starvation on trackdays. i had one more thing to fit and that was a pedal commander i picked up on ebay for 99p, now i fitted this as i wanted a bit less throttle response, anyone who has done brands hatch in the wet will know how delicately you need to make inputs, this made a massive difference and for 99p cant complain would i spend 200 quid on one.. probably not
  23. Unless after every drive you clean dy and protect your wheels you will want to get them re lacquered or they will start to go furry, it doesn't take much moisture to get aluminium to corrode
  24. I Need to stop hoarding so have a few bits for sale. My Mac decided it doesn't like the pound sign so apologies Kinetix decats. These came on a exhaust sytem i purchased but already running cobra HFC's so no need for these, they wil work on 370z and 350z with HR .100 plus postage at cost https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/kinetix-racing-nissan-350z-vq35hr-07-09-370z-09-test-pipe-set.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw-7OlBhB8EiwAnoOEk0RcyY70BAhwKYEJgnxUn60kPC4m2bemFoSMXuC5n5vYFxcFwlNiKxoCV_UQAvD_BwE Vibratechnics comp engine mounts. These are new but have recieved some marks from storage, really lovely things i have the vibratechnics gearbox mount and its a really nice upgrade so can only imagine these will further improve things. They are just sat there but still may fit them if i get the urge so be quick! 200 plus postage https://www.vibra-technics.co.uk/nissan/370z/682/NIS302MX/engine_mount cobra (?) Y Pipe was told this was a cobra y pipe , really nicely made since going true duel i have no use. looks pretty new, great condition. will fit 350z and 370z with HR engine. 150 plus postage Cobra Sprint x , Xl bucket seat with 370z subframe. This expires at the end of the year so not ideal if you want it for competitive use, great seat has some signs of wear, xl so comfortable for everyone, comes attached to subframe with seatbelt so its a simple job to install, will need a resistor for airbag to keep the light off. 300 collected can get more pics if needed
  25. Since i bought my 370z ive had a weird rough idle when warm, the car seems to hunt and volts jump around, been trying to find the soloution and it seems to be the Evap control valve nissan P/N 14930-JK20E ive done a quick video, excuse the long bit of nothingness, first time using new software, still learning!
