  1. So I'm currently with Admiral on a multi car policy. I only have 1 year NCB (was on the tube for last few years so never needed a car) and I've had the policy for 3 months now.

Admiral have said (over the phone albeit) that I would lose anything I'd gained towards my next year NCB.

Quick Google says that Admiral are the worst for this type of stuff but I'm getting what I paid for so no massive gripes.

My other half is the policy holder for the other car and she wants to build her NCB too, so no chance of me transferring to that car.

Thinking it's probably best just keeping the Z parked up and paying tax and insurance, just in case we do need it and to build up the NCB. I can afford to do that but it's wasted hard earned money in the short term.

  2. All,

What advice do fellow members have for insuring a car that's SORN. Spoke to my current insurance provider and according to their Ts and Cs they cancel any policy on a vehicle which is SORN.

It'll save me in the region of 500 GBP for insurance and approx 50 GBP a month in road tax while its parked up over the winter.

Do we have any recommended providers? Is it worth saving the pennies over the winter to plough back into the car before Japfest? Who has done something similar?

So I got a reply back from the Carbon guys, they are happy to send my originals back but before they do if anyone wants a set of carbon copies making, please let me know or get in touch with them asap :)

Spoke with them and they said they're not doing carbon copies and are booked out for the next month?

    Gutted.

What are the issues? If they aren't keeping an agreed warranty or if it's something dangerous you will definitely have a case.

Hey, so I've managed to work it all out with the dealership. He wasn't keen but we've come to a sensible agreement. It took someone else on his side to intervene! He came to an agreement over the phone then when I chased him up over email he went back to arguing. Hopefully it's the last of it but let's see. I'm away for the weekend but provided everything stays settled I've discuss the details on here.

It'll obviously come in handy for anyone else who has a similar issue.

  5. Welcome! 4k is fair game, hope you're accounting for the running costs.

I'm sure you'll find someone willing to sell a decent car to a quality home, so make sure you read up on the do's and don'ts and let a potential seller know you know your stuff.

People are saying with Brexit on the cards that car prices are dropping atm so don't rush into it!

  6. So I've had some issues with the car and tried talking with the dealer who sold it to me. Long story short he agreed to pay for the work needed over the phone but ended up going back on his word.

Garage only has an autotrader profile so only place I can leave a review (no Google etc).

Worth my time going to Trading Standards or not? Hasn't been a massive sum of money but its now all about the principle of selling a dodgy expensive car and backtracking on their word.

    Any advice is appreciated

  7. I had a 02 sensor code which ended up being a similar problem. Exhaust leak due to a few dodgy gaskets and a HFC flange which needed sanding down. Cobra products aren't always built to last so if you have Cobra HFC or Catback that would be my first point of investigation.

  8. I saw an absolute beauty of a 370z in Pearl White getting off the M40 at Ardley. I wanted to flash and say hi but you were getting off so not so sure you saw me in my 370z.

Approx 8pm going Northbound, Friday 5th October.

  9. Any other tips here? I've purchased a 370z GT with the usual performance mods with a private plate. I've asked at Horsham and Abbey but they don't notice it but said it could have come under the stock license plate (logbook shows the plate has been with the car for several years)

Can't figure out if it has had the UpRev mapping done. Any tips will help.
