Thanks, from searching the forum most people only drain the radiator and don't bother with the other bit as it causes a lot of air bubbles and takes hours to resolve. If I'm not draining it properly I take it I can't just swap the fluid though as it's a different colour?

My experiences with smart repairers are unfortunately not the same as yours. I would now always take the car to a body shop and pay the extra premium to have the whole panel resprayed. The smart repairer that messed my door up charged £200 to fix a dent, and a body shop quoted £250 to completely respray the panel. Definitely worth the extra money, especially if you have stone chips etc.

Hi, I'm going to flush the coolant on my HR and the old stuff is pink. From checking on the forum the correct stuff to use is the Nissan L248: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Nissan-L248-Premix-Engine-Coolant-Antifreeze-5-Litres-KE90299945-/162002807288?oid=150939424104 which is green. Can I just empty the old and pour in the new, or is the change in colour significant? I've not done coolant before so this is a new one to me - so sorry for the stupid questions! Thanks

Low mileage HR's are already going for more than higher mileage 370s. There's a few 370's on Autotrader for less thank 10k, and a few HR's with around 20-30k miles on for more than that.

Good point! I hadn't thought about being locked in to one map. I'll probably be fine then if I only put it on every now and then

Hi, I bought a 57 plate HR this week, the previous owner had the car UpRev mapped @ Abbey Motorsports, and previously had Motordyne ART decats fitted. The decats were removed on sale, and I am currently using the stock cats. One of the 5 maps on the car is pops & bangs, which I believe dumps unburnt fuel into the exhaust to cause the sounds. From what I've read, this would damage the stock cats? Would it be best not to use this feature at all then? I'm tempted to get some HFC's for the car, but assume this would have the same issue as above? So the 2 choices are decats or don't use the P&B map? Anyone got any advice on this? Thanks.

Hi, I picked up a 350z HR yesterday and feel the rear end needs a bit of improvement visually! I like the look of the chargespeed rear bumper, but can't justify the cost + respray + losing reversing sensors. Are there any rear diffuser options that look similar to the chargespeed that aren't crazy expensive? I've seen a few rear diffusers like this: however I'm not a huge fan. Are there any other options? Thanks.

The side windows look a lot darker than the 70% legal limit, but it may be hard to tell from photos.

Wow, I've just got my insurance for the HR I pick up on Sunday, £750 with Admiral - I'm 22 with 4yrs NCB.

It's an Infiniti G37, it's basically the same car with a reworked interior/exterior. Engine & drivetrain are the same. The 350z equivalent is the G35 I believe

Can you drive a manual? Most would suggest buying the manual over the auto. There are a lot of 350z's on the market, more listed each day. If you're not really sold on it being a convertible why not wait a few weeks for the correct one to pop up. Bubbling can be treated yes, it may be worse than it appears on the surface though. Work out how much it would cost to fix (worst case scenario) and then use that to haggle the price of the car.

I know nothing about 370z's, but I believe that is the clutch fluid reservoir. Easy to top up though, just pour more fluid in.

Hi, I'm about to buy an HR and just wanted to make sure I haven't missed anything. The car is a Black 57 plate - GT with frost leather seats - 95k miles. Bodywork and interior is in a good condition - usual stone chips on the front & interior plastic wear. Modifications: Uprev mapped @ Abbey Motorsport Cobra non-res exhaust Miltek Y pipe Repair history: Clutch, flywheel & slave cylinder replaced@ 77k Gallery gaskets replaced Full service history Banana arms replaced last year Brakes are all in good condition, tyres are Goodyear eagle f1 asy 3s with good tread left The agreed upon price is £8,150. Does this seem about right for a car of this mileage? Although the mileage is fairly high from what I've read these engines are pretty solid, and as the clutch has been replaced there shouldn't be any major repairs within the next 50k miles Thanks

Hi, I'm looking at buying a 2007 HR which has been uprev mapped and currently has Motordyne ART decats installed. If I buy the car, the decats will have been removed and returned to stock. Will this require a remap or have any negative effects on the performance of the car if I don't get it remapped? Thanks
