  1. Looking to upgrade to face lift 350z headlights.
  2. Yup discs don't make hardly any difference its very mis informed due to sales people trying to make money I think. Pads and fluid are what you're going to see difference in performance.
  3. Where did you purchase your side skirts from?
  4. A lot of jobs ticked off the list, see you making the most of the lockdown! Very very nice clean example. Haha engine bay is one of those things, once you start its hard not to fully commit! Its either stock looking or you go full send!
  5. Wow congratulations on being a father! Glad to know you're still in ownership! Yes hopefully Jap Show still goes ahead, not looking good at the moment, with a lot of events cancelling this year altogether Nice updates, those hfc's are a work of art! I get you though, I'm the same I prefer something thats a bit more mellow too. HFC's and Test pipes on the Z's do make them loud and quite often raspy which I don't like. Never seen that gear knob before, looks great quality and suits the interior Ofcourse @davey_83 put you onto the wheels, guy is just a legend. What a steal!! Idea of having two sets of wheels is great, you going to refurb in the OEM colour or are you going to go for something different?
  6. Re visiting this post for inspiration, one of my favourite builds along with @SHEZZA So clean and simple. OEM+ which I think is always the best way to go. Been a couple of years, are you still in ownership?
  7. Thanks mate, glad I got some noise from you accelerating, otherwise video would of been a lot more dull!
  8. Was nice to see you and your new Beast, sounds UNREAL!
  9. Did a little vlog of the day, will be doing more POV driving footage when I get the accessory to allow me to do so
  10. Just spent an hour or so reading through your whole thread, a great read! Nice to see your knowledge on detailing build up through the years! Such a clean car, first time I've seen your engine bay as well Looks amazing! Orange is always a great contrast with the grey. Look forward to linking back up on Sunday
  11. I think I paid just under £300 for all the fluids, plugs, belts, air filter and mag drain plug. The only deal I got was the P1 service kit from Tarmac Sportz (Oil, oil filter & drain plug)
  12. Yes! Thank You, was in good condition considering its age. Was really nice of you to give it to Pete, a fine example of what the forum is about
  13. Treated my car to a major service yesterday! Engine Oil Oil Filter Magnetic oil plug Coolant Diff Oil Gear Box Oil Spark Plugs Aux belts Air Filter Swapped exhaust out for another standard one that was in good condition as the one on it was blowing. A good days work didn't run into any problems until I decided to take the back wheel spacers off because one of the treads on the wheel spacer bolts was completely knackered. Anyway came to the last nut to take off and it someone had a good go at it before and was rounded , after 2 hours of agony, with some help I managed to get it off! Phew!! Gave it a little run out to check everything was ok and there was no leaks ect. Car drove like a dream, it was nice before but now its just perfection
  14. Thank you, it’s getting there Yes I agree one of the best wheels for the 350z imo In regards with pressure washer and engine bays. Most modern engine bays are ok to jet wash as long as you don’t go silly like putting the lance right close up against a plug. Steam cleaning is a more ‘safe’ way of doing it but as you could see mine was so bad and with a lot of debris and dirt in the side crevices so needed pressure to flush out.
  15. Had Friday to myself so time to do some more deep cleaning on the Z. I had flushed the arches out when I did the clean and decontamination but knew it needed wheels off to properly get them clean. Huge chunks of mud had gathered onto pretty much everything, especially on the back arch lip, as many of you know dirt and moisture sits on this lip and thats what causes the rear arches to rust so was important this was seen too. Procedure was as follows: KKD Citrus pre wash Jet Wash flush KKD Ferrum Iron Fallout Agitate all components with Hog Hair brush Rinse Surfex HD Degreaser, agitate with Hog Hair Brush Rinse Auto Smart Tardis Rinse Hand Polish Calipers w/ Auto Finesse Tripple Chemical Guys Bare Bones Undercarriage spray Pleased with the outcome, I will do them again at some point and see to the surface rust and treat it with Hammerite but makes sense to do that when I'm changing the brake lines Put my LMGT4's on as well, absolutely love the silver on silver, looks even better then I envisioned Next job was the engine bay, did that whilst I snow foamed and rinse the whole car just to take the dust the rain water had left the day before. Procedure for this: Surfex HD Degreaser Hog hair and EZ Detail wheel brush to agitate Jet wash rinse Blow dried with MetroVac Air force blaster Hand dried with Microfibre towel All plastics treated with Auto Glym Vinyl & Rubber care Again only a moderate clean always room for improvement! Last job of the day was the headlights, were really cloudy and yellow, so pulled into the unit after drying the car to restore! Procedure as follows: Mask up around headlight Wet sand & polish using; 3M Trizact 3000 3M Trizact 6000 Lake Country Microfibre Pad & Menzerna 400 Rupes Yellow Pad & Yellow Fine polish Machine Polisher used - Rupes BigFoot Mini (LHR 75E) IPA wipedown Kamikaze Miyabi Ceramic coating used to protect Photos never do Headlight restorations justice but a huge turnaround, look new again! Great day, more jobs off the list, love how its looking now with the LMGT4 wheel on!

  18. So had a few spare hours today so decided to just get the bodywork cleaned and decontaminated. The wheels are beyond saving but I've got my LMGT4's to put on anyway Car was pretty bad due to being sat on a driveway surrounded by tree's, a lot of moss and build up in every crack and crevice but nothing I couldn't sort out. Procedure was as follows. Citrus Pre Wash Snow Foam Rinse Hog Hair brush & APC - Boot Shut, Door shuts, Petrol Cap, Weather strips, all rubber trims, wing mirrors, badges, front grill & light surroundings Rinse Snow Foam Hog Hair brush and APC steps repeated Wheel Arch flush Rinse Two Bucket Method Wash Rinse Iron Out Decontamination Clay Bar De Tar Snow Foam Rinse Gyeon Wet Coat applied Rinse Hand Dried with Drying Towel Aim was just to get the bodywork cleaned and decontaminated, had some left over Wet Coat so used that to give the paintwork some hydrophobicity and to aid drying. Really pleased with the results, absolutely love this colour and I cannot wait to get this in the bay for a full weeks worth of detailing!
  19. Hi, guys some of you might of read my first build thread https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/120574-my-dream-come-true/ Unfortunately I had decided to sell my Sunset Orange 350z due to needing some cash to inject into my business, if I'm totally honest with you the car had a rough past life and over my time owning it I had put so much life back into it but got to the point where a few of the battle scars on the paintwork would need some serious money to rectify which I wasn't prepared to do, don't get me wrong when I sold it, it was a very nice example but me being a detailer there was tiny little paintwork issues that drove my OCD crazy! Anyway after being Zless since October my life hasn't been the same since! Being apart of car culture is a big part of my social life at home and when you live and breathe cars day to day not having your own pride and joy just well....sucks. So reach for the stars they say, I wanted to join my good friend @Killick.z and be apart of the Nismo club so I had my heart set on a Mk1 370z Nismo but after yearly projections for business and so on I come to the conclusion that I would maybe be living beyond my means, one day maybe but for now I'm more then happy to be apart of the 350z community! So waiting until July this year was my plan then I would be on the hunt for a low milage silver HR, but then the unexpected happened and all of a sudden I find myself in Zed ownership again! So on Sunday I travelled up North to England/Wales border where I went to view a fellow forum members low milage silver 55 plate Z. Now I had my heart set on a HR but for the price, low milage and all original paintwork I couldn't resist! So here it is 350z DE Silver, one owner from new with 31,000 miles on the clock!
