  1. Apologies for bumping an old thread but can you keep a Bluetooth Adaptor plugged in all the time ? Just wondering if the OBD port is live all the time (rather than just with ignition).
  2. Have you got any further with this ? Been a long long time since I messed with OBD commands and the like and my memory is a bit hazy on it now. Have a look at this page see if it helps you though https://theksmith.com/software/hack-vehicle-bus-cheap-easy-part-1/
  3. Plenty of threads already on here about Plenum spacers @CC Mac, the topic has been discussed on many many occasions. Just to a search buddy.
  4. Very likely .. but let's not go there LOL
  5. Black cars look amazing all polished up
  6. Looks really smart, like it, will be doing this on mine. I got rid of the counter balance weight that was attached to the boot lid, don't need this as I have a spoiler.
  7. I have a couple of CL9's (7th gen 2.4 Accords) and was thinking exactly the same thing
  8. What method are you using for bleeding the brakes, two person method, one way valve with one person, automatic brake bleeder etc
  9. Odd indeed, jack up car, take wheel off and rotate the disc by hand, you should be able to narrow it down. Probably just a stuck stone.
  10. Cool, yeah ABS resin'd up should be resilient enough (fingers crossed)
  11. @andybp what kind of 3D print is that ? Is it Fused Deposition printing ? Ie a melted filament type 3D printer then I've actually tried using such prints using PLA filament in the engine bay before and I'm a afraid the print deforms with heat. I'm not sure if ABS filament would fair any better in the long run. Or were you just using the 3D prints as prototype pieces to be replaced later with something else ?
  12. Just come across this thread. Amazing work @andybp Just downloading the video to have a look at.
  13. I would get an OBD reader and monitor all the real time values, something may stand out. However do this need you need to kinda of have a feel for what the values should normally be.
  14. Welcome to the forum @s4zzyb Lots of choices to make huh LOL Plenty of great info here and some very friendly people. I'm new to the 350Z world being a total Honda nut, so I'll leave others to guide you.
  15. Welcome to the forum @E11TUf !
  16. Yes, I'm loving the torque low down. Still love the VTEC engines though, they'll always be a Honda or two hanging around my place Currently still got two Accord 2.4's, I'm prepping one to sell, the other one will stay for a while yet. That's a nice little trick will try that when I get round to checking the handbrake
  17. Thanks for all the welcome message peeps
  18. Hi peeps, I picked up a 350Z at the weekend. My first non Honda in a long long time. Always been big into my Hondas, know them really well, can take Honda engines and gearboxes apart in my sleep probably. Fancied a change this time though, fancied something V6 powered, hence going for a 350Z, at least it's still Japanese Budget was kinda limited though which meant I went for not quite a perfect one but I like having a Project car than I can slowly work on and bring up to my own standards. I've already contacted @ZMANALEX for a few bits and bobs. Loving how she drives. Initial impressions are that brakes don't bite straight away, slightly spongy feel to them but it does stop well if you force the pedal. I'll probably do a full brake fluid flush at somepoint and service the brakes all the way round. Hand brake needs some attention as it's not really holding all that well. Engine needs a service. On idle with bonnet open I can hear an intermittent and occasional misfire, previous owner told me the plugs were new. So I guess could be a lightly dicky coil or perhaps the MAF needs cleaning etc etc .. will check this out at some point. Any common culprits to look for ? Engine bay .. oh don't ask about the engine bay, let's just say it's really bugging my OCD ! Light weight flywheel.. nice as it let's the engine rev freely but by gum the clutch chatter under 2K RPM makes the gearbox. I'm torn whether to go back a OEM Dual Mass fly wheel but then I actually do like the free reviness feel of a lightweight flywheel. I'll get some pics posted once I've washed her. Any thought on the above points, especially the slight misfire and the clutch chatter would be great fully received. Look forward to getting involved in the forum, initially I would think I've got plenty to learn though Regards SpeedyZee
