  1. It varies. Some have the problem, some have it worse, some don't have it at all. Not too much trouble if you keep an eye on it. I think anything above 1 litre per 2k miles is excessive.
  2. Just the usual stuff plus excessive oil consumption (not sure how you'd check for it though).
  3. DE RevUps can be 07 too (like mine).
  4. Like these? Or these?
  5. Not sure if you'd need a towing specific one (to handle the forces), so they may not be up to the job, but something like this? Loads on ebay.
  6. I'd be in the same boat, but I'm only at "work" 2 or 3 times a week.
  7. When I was looking for one I found that 22mm was a bitch to source and the ones that did exist were silly money. You can get adapter thingies though (can't remember the technical term) that will increase the size of the tow hook to fit the hole.
  8. I don't really have a standardised driving pattern or fill up a certain time / day / amount, so I don't really know, and I think it varies too much, and I'm scared to know the answer... I drive different amounts each week, and fill up a random amount depending on how I'm feeling, more so if I accidentally go over getting a perfect multiple of £5 or £10 and have to go to the next one until I do so. Though as a rough guess, 90 miles per week if I'm not going anywhere extra, 28mpg, Tesco Momentum at 122.9 per litre... Soooooo.. about £18 per week? But that's probably closer to £60 if I have to travel to Newcastle over the weekend.
  9. Although I've heard of the ones in the boot not even fitting Ideally measure the hole, but I think the only options are 16 or 22mm, so measure the hook you've got and see if it fits. if it doesn't, then you want the other size.
  10. Just realised I was chatting bollocks with regards to the scratches, I think I was tired and just said a small number... The sheet aly is 1.2mm thick, so the imperfections must only be a fraction of a millimetre So I should be fine with etch, high build, then paint? Presumably followed by some lacquer?
  11. From comparing them in the flesh, I think 25/30 spacers looks much better. Won't it be the same amount of pennies for coilovers regardless of what spacers you get? At which point the only extra cost if you go 25/30 spacers would be to get the arches rolled, but that's pretty cheap. Alternatively, I've heard it's very easy to DIY, so if you can find someone local with a roller, you may be able to borrow it in return for some beers
  12. If it makes a difference, it's bare 1050 aly and there is no requirement for it to colour match anything else. Does need to withstand a slight curve / bow without the paint cracking though.
  13. Which is the hard part, prepping, painting, or a combination of both? Was gonna say that I could do all the priming / filling / sanding myself and get it painted professionally, but surely once it's prepped, it's the same as painting anything else, you are painting onto primer, not aluminium.
  14. I'm amazing with my rattle cans as long as nobody has ambushed me with shoddy paintwork beforehand. However, there may be a chance to use a spray gun etc for this.
  15. Under the assumption you haven't blown your engine by then
  16. Or it's a sign never to neglect your Z again.
  17. Considering how successful the first 2 were, I'm sure we can arrange plenty more in the future
  18. Looks like we've got 2 options now, Xscape Castleford or BK car park in Leeds (or Squires, but that's on a Tuesday and might be less convenient for the majority). If we stick with 11th March for now, which would you guys prefer. Made a thread poll, so take your pick. (You can select multiple options.)
  19. Ah, couldn't tell from the angle. I've read that 25/30mm spacers cause more problems when lowering and that 20/25mm spacers are the max you can go if you want to lower without having to roll your arches.
  20. Nothing majorly deep, maybe 1mm. Not sure at what stage you can't get away with just primer...
