  1. Don't have white plasti dip or new tyres yet... Not to mention the ballache of making a stencil. Suppose I could spray some black on my current tyres and see how it holds up though
  2. Not decided yet. Was initially going to do whatever tyre brand is on my next set of tyres, but could also do "350Z", or "NISSAN" at the top and "350Z" at the bottom, or just "Z", or maybe "STRUDUL" That's my concern. It's pretty flexible, feels like a thin rubber glove when you peel it off, but I reckon it would start to crack.
  3. Facelift (DE / HR) plastics scratch just as easily
  4. Would dip last on the tyre? I thought when spraying their wheels a lot of people let the dip oversray onto the tyre because it just comes off by itself? Or would it be pretty permanent if the tyre is cleaned properly.
  5. Pretty sure the sandpaper is to rough up the surface, not to flatten it.
  6. Think I've seen that recommended before, and got loads of the stuff cos I used to get punctures all the time Not sure how well it would hold up though, you can peel them off without too much trouble and the sidewall surface isn't particularly flat to get a good bond. Definitely worth a try though,
  7. Correct. The engine was redesigned and the bottleneck is no longer there. (No more tapered plenum restricting air to the front cylinders.)
  8. Bit of a Marmite one I know, but setting aside opinions of how amazing it will look, I was thinking about making some tyre letters like the ones you can buy at Tred Wear etc, but without the $100 price tag. Can't believe it'd be that hard, and gotta look better than Tipex / tyre paint pens. I'm assuming all I'd need is some vinyl / rubber sheet and something to stick it to the tyre with? However that's where my expertise ends. Dunno what grade rubber / vinyl I'd need (if they even comes in grades) and what sort of glue would be suitable. Could anyone recommend some products? Would these be suitable: Rubber Glue Cheers
  9. If you can afford the HR, there is little reason not to unless you are planning FI.
  10. You mean March 14th? No I mean March 8th, today, its not confusing I meant the day for men...
  11. Aye, just listing the options. C5 should be ok though, and I'm sure Dan said his 6er was as cheap to keep as his Z.
  12. Off the top of my head... - Maser Coupe - Porsche Cayenne Turbo - Jag XJR / XKR - Chrysler 300C SRT-8 - Merc CLS55 / E55 - Audi RS6 / S8 - BMW 650i / M5 - Corvette C5 However, you are at the very bottom end for most of those.
  13. Cars should just come with special acknowledgement lights Always flash hazards for people behind me (if they let me in), but never thought to use them for people in front.
  14. Gotta agree, though I think I had this rant a couple months back. I'm generalising, but women seem to be worse for it too. Can't even remember the last time one waved back I wave if someone lets me through and I wave after letting someone else through, I always thought it was an unwritten rule to not be a nob.
  15. Using your horn (for the reason most people use it) is, to put it bluntly, stupid. If something dangerous is happening / about to happen, the last thing you should be worried about is using your horn. If you had time to use it, there was no need to use it in the first place.
  16. Was a lot of neagative non-test-drive related ones here...
  17. Everyone is welcome to come along regardless, but for clarity and so we know who to expect, it'd be nice if you guys could add yourself to the list if you intend to attend
  18. That article is wrong, the figure for 0-124mph is 7.8 seconds. http://www.autocar.c...ad-geneva-debut http://www.thedrive....-in-7-8-seconds
  19. Wow, that sucks. Sounds like you got a lemon.
  20. What went wrong with your XKR then and how much did the repairs set you back?
