the only benefit you get from floating discs over fixed is heat transfer, I have a friend with a track lotus and the only difference he found was it takes lots more laps for brake fade to start affecting him.
I used tesco 99 for about 3 months with no change and suddenly the car had an issue where it wouldn't register a full tank when topping it up from half way. ran some redex through along with v power for two weeks and the issue went away and hasnt resurfaced since. Personally I dont trust the supermarkets anymore.
Has anyone else experienced a sound from underneath the car (hard to pinpoint a direction) that sounds almost like a click when you brake and put a bit more pressure on just before you come to a standstill. It only clicks once just before the car stops moving and doesnt happen at all during normal driving.
Is it you I see some mornings driving under the Tinsley viaduct? I have an orange 350Z with a nismo spoiler
Dont think so, I would be sure to remember a spoilered 350. Haven't seen another z in about 2 months now.
For anyone interested the 2009 version of the satnav in the 370z with the satnav disk behind the drivers seat is the X7 system. The updated map data cd I bought from is currently working fine and even managed to plot a route through 4 countries.
Its odd that its so intermittent, but that does sound very similar to having excessive runout on your discs. during gradual braking from above 40 or so do you get wobble through the steering wheel? If it is indeed you have warped or the discs were fitted incorrectly leading to them not being level then the only real fix is either a professional disc skimmer or new rotors.
I would never say no to a cheap fill up, although we are doing an overnight journey expecting to arrive at 8am. We are gonna be here for 4 days though so plenty of free time so dont mind heading back out to explore.
Beautiful zed there, You said the cobra HFCs were too loud for daily use, is that personal preference or are they obnoxiously loud and get me pulled every day. did you consider the support struts for the lip to keep it up?
