  1. Hey all, I am currently collating some data in relation to 370Z NISMO Edition Prices that I am putting in to a spreadsheet. I am interested in people who did not buy the car new. I only require a few small bits of info Year purchased Mileage at purchase Price at purchase Dealer or Private Sale Thanks Everyone!
  2. Looking at the market now, waiting for the right car to come up, not in a rush
  3. Thanks for the input everyone, So I have been doing some reading and I found that nissan actually sell the Nismo MK2 parts for a reasonable price. Now the only thing that would be missing would be bucket seats, I love the interior on the 370Z nismo, but the main thing I really love is the bucket seats. Any alternatives in the UK that are similar? I have seen the braum stuff which look really nice, but most bucket seats dont seem to have air bags? Are they still safe etc....
  4. Hey all, So I am still in the market for a 370Z. Originally I was looking at a 2012 ish low mileage 370z with mods. Mods would have been. Amuse body kit, AAM short tails, Aerojacket Duckbill, Lowering springs, red 40th anniversary interior. How ever after pricing it all, it comes out to around £18.5k. Now a 2015 20k mile nismo can be had for £24k from nissan direct. Looking on auto trader the cheapest nismo I can see is a 2013 one at £21k. Where as I have seen a regular GT 2013 car go for £13k. Are the Nismos holding value very well? Do you guys think its worth waiting for a 2015 nismo to drop in price a little or will they not budge much? I would be happier with the Nismo 370Z but concerned about depreciation due to it being newer. Also would be less mods and just ready to enjoy I guess. What do you guys think? Cheers
  5. Hey all, Been hunting around for more information and struggling to find a comprehensive list of the differences between each year? Could anyone point me in the right direction / advise? Thanks
  6. IMO you have made a good decision there. Security / peace of mind is more important than a car. In a couple of years you will probably be able to get 15+ nismo for around £15k used anyway.
  7. Hey guys, I found out the colour by looking for more pics of the car, it is indeed Gun Metal Grey
  8. Hey all, Been looking around online at mods etc and came across this beauty. Is this the standard gun metal grey, or is it a custom colour? Looks very different to the other pics I have seen, could just be lighting?
  9. Its not a dig in anyway, im just saying it how it is. Main thing is that you enjoy the car! But I stand by the statement that if £500 tax is putting you off then its the wrong car. A good set of tyres will set you back £1k. Sports cars are expensive to maintain, if £500 tax is off putting then the repair bills will make you weep.
  10. Sounds like you planned well ahead. Main thinf is that you enjoy the car!
  11. If you are buying cash best bet is usually to go abit older to get towards the bottom of the depreciation curve. I have never seen an instance where the numbers come out ahead with finance. Its hard to justify buying new due to the massive hit. Buying new is a rich mans game, but also a mugs game for alot of people.
  12. Lets be fair here. Anyone 'financially savvy' would not finance the car in the first place (which would drastically reduce the amount of owners). They would buy it out right and slightly older year to avoid so much depreciation. To them the £500 would be an minimal expense. Cars like these are not cheap to run, your looking at £1000 for a good set of tyres, lots of fuel, and regular maintanence. I agree that if £500 road tax concerns someone then they should not be looking at a thirsty v6 sports car.
  13. Is this actually confirmed or just rumours? All I can find is the original auto car article, but no actual confirmation from Nissan them selves
  14. Some very 'interesting' figures in this thread. Buying a used one a couple of years old will be towards the bottom of its depreciation curve and take far less of a hit than a new one over the same time period. This will be more the case the older the car gets.
  15. Thanks for the input, ah so it appears that one I referenced in the OP was under priced then more than anything, thanks for the clarification. Seems like 30k ish is probably a good price point then in terms of mileage. The £18k one does look nice but is more than I want to spend ideally. What is considered high mileage for a 370Z? Thanks
  16. Hey all, as mentioned in my other thread I am on the hunt for a blue a 370Z. I have come across this one but am confused by the price of almost £18k. Year is 2011, GT manual, 18,000 miles, £17,995 https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201802133693516?advertising-location=at_cars&sort=sponsored&radius=1500&postcode=wf26da&make=NISSAN&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&model=370 Z&colour=Blue&page=1 When compared to this for example: 2010, GT manual, 17,000 miles, £13,995 (and this is from a garage not a private seller) https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201801202923159?advertising-location=at_cars&maximum-mileage=40000&sort=price-asc&radius=1500&postcode=wf26da&make=NISSAN&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&model=370 Z&page=1 Or the various other cars I have seen, I have seen several 30k mile cars in white around the £13k mark. Is the deduction in 10k miles worth the £5k increase or is it the colour. Am I missing something here? Thanks all
  17. Hi guys, Planning ahead here, I will have a body kit coming for the 370Z once purchased and would require somewhere to fit it (front bumper, skirts, rear and spoiler). Now I have heard good things about RT performance but they are way to far away, is there anywhere more local that has a good reputation for this sort of thing? Thanks
  18. Interesting read, thanks guys. Over in the states as mentioned previously a lot of people are running the Stillen Gen 3 intakes, interesting to see that the stock intakes are actually better.
  19. Checking daily now looking for the right car
  20. Hi, Interested in the H&R springs. Are these the ones that have a 1.3" drop up front and 1" on the rear? Do you require any thing such as camber arms etc to get alignment back in to spec with these? And lastly any pics of these fitted? Thanks
  21. Thanks for the responses everyone. In the UK the colour is indeed Le Mans Blue I am now leaning towards the manual, just need to find the right car
  22. Thanks for the responses everyone. A quick question or two: 1. What is recommended resonated or non? Is there much sound difference in terms of loudness between the two? 2. (Sorry if this is a stupid question lol) What is the difference between say a set of non Resonated AAM Short tails and a local exhaust shop producing similar short tail pipes? Thanks
  23. I have seen 1, in my time of searching. Age ideally 2011 on wards, price up to £16,000, mileage less than 40k ideally. They just seem to be quite rare!
