  1. Hey all, I am currently in the market for a 370Z, I am looking for something along the following spec ideally. Colour Monterey Blue, Gearbox Automatic, GT version, low mileage, mint condition. How ever there seems to be barely any Monterey Blue cars for sale, and there are 0 Monterey Blue autos. Is this a rare combo and do you think I will be waiting a while? Thanks
  2. Hey all, Been looking at whats available on the market for a while now in terms of GT editions. It seems some have electric seats and some dont? I thought this was standard on the GT editions. Does anyone have a conclusive list of extras for the UK spec 370z's? Thanks
  3. So I have just run this through against the regular GT alloys Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 38.4mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 25.7mm more than before. - Fronts Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 10mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 10mm more than before. - Rear and the Nismo Alloys which are slightly wider: Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 37.7mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 12.3mm more than before. - Fronts Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 9.3mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 3.3mm less than before. - Rears So it looks like the rears will fit fine, as it pretty much lines up with the Nismo Rears. Will the fronts be okay poking out 12.3mm with out sticking out of the fenders? Additionally I noticed that it states the arch gap and ride height would decrease significantly. Would this be to due to the 35 profile opposed to 40? Ride height gain -7mm Arch gap loss -7mm
  4. Colour matching the door handles is probably the best compromise. Shaved could be a pain to get working reliably and not sure if many have actually attempted this mod.
  5. Firstly, Sorry for the noob question but I am stuck with the following. I want to use some alloys I bought for my previous car on the 370Z but they are 5 X 120 PCD. How ever I can see that H&R do PCD adapters for 5x120 to 5x114.3 which is perfect. My next question really is will the wheels fit flushly. I have put the specs below. I am concerned they would be to far out of the arches rather than sitting flush. Michelin PS4S 265/35/19 - Rears - Michelin PS4S 235/30/19 - Fronts Alloys: Front: 8.5 x 19 et 35 - Rear: 10 x 19 et 40 H&R 20mm PCD Converter front and rear. Thank You
  6. Hey guys, I have been looking at videos of the above with the mid pipe and test pipes and they sound epic! How ever for the short tails alone it is £650! Does anyone know where the best place to buy these is for a reasonable cost? Or is that the going rate Thanks
  7. Hey, So reading about this car has me a bit confused, over in the states it seems they have Base, Touring, Sports and Nismo packages all having different things, Here in the UK I can see we have GT, and non GT? Is the GT fully loaded, does it have the LSD,Nav,Bose and Keyless entry? What sort of spec should I be going for in terms of being "fully loaded" Thank You
  8. So a 1 year later update to this post! I bought a z4 35is with 32k miles on the clock 12 months ago, it is currently sat at circa 400bhp with a map, and is wrapped in 3M fiery orange :). This car has been great, but i still feel the urge for an amuse 370z! I know the 370z will feel slow after the z4 but there is more to a car than speed for me. I imagine the 3.7l v6 will sound intoxicating with a good exhaust and im keen on the powerband and response of NA engines. Im leaning towards the auto but am worried it will feel dire in terms of shifts. I read it is 500ms per shift in the 370z where the Z4 DCT was 80ms. Additionally how is the 370z on fuel, the Z4 is currently averaging around 12-14mpg (spends alot of time in boost lol) Thanks everyone!
  9. Thanks for the responses everyone really helped me make an informed decision. I have put a deposit down on a BMW 35IS which i am looking forward to!
  10. Is the rust along the wheel arches fixed from the 350Z days, or is that still an issue with the 370Z.
  11. I became like this after my 350Z, stuff just kept going wrong one thing after another. Maybe i was just unlucky. Chances are I am worrying over nothing. Probably need a day or two to relax about it... lol Thing is this is going to be a second car too, something I want to look at it, sit in, hear the sound of it and think wow, and the 370Z with a few mods could be all that and more.
  12. So if i were to buy a 370Z it would have to be the 7AT gearbox. If something where to go wrong with this what is the typical sort of cost for replacement, The BMW DCT boxes cost around £5k IIRC which is insane. Is the 370Z auto box on the same level, and if not what is a general replacement guideline cost. Thanks all
  13. I was thinking that, or its where they make most of their margins....
  14. Love that 370Z above so much too, logic vs what you feel is always a tough one to overcome
  15. 35I, just re read my previous posts and realised I had put IS! my bad
  16. Their are barely any 35I DCT cars for sale on auto trader, the few that have full BMW service history have something else wrong with them, IE the care is bare with barely any extras, or it has had lots of owners. Bleh!
  17. Called them, for fitting alone it is £1500.
  18. So just been on the phone to the BMW insurance company. Their are 2 requirements to qualify. Fully service history - Fine this is easy to find Proof that genuine BMW parts used in all repairs - What???? How on earth am I ever meant to prove this, starting to get the feeling that this is just a get out clause. Really not sure how to feel about their whole warranty at this point. When ever I look at this, i just think WOW that looks amazing. Hard to resist, guide me in the right direction guys!
  19. The 35is mileage will be below 40k. Im expecting too do maybe 3k miles a year tops. I really like the 370Z but after so many issues on my 350 im heavily put off. No option of warranty makes it so much worse
  20. 10-15k repair fund on the 370Z. Lol you would think this car was a 997 carrera with borescoring issues. Called Nissan today regarding warranty on a used car. Top and bottom is they dont do it. Very dissapointing considering a fully inclusive Z4 35IS DCT warranty is only 400 for the year. Seems like a risk getting one of these from what people have said
  21. Hey all, considering buying a 370z and really love this kit by rt performance. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/252659807089?_mwBanner=1 Now i have no idea how much this would cost to actually fit. any ball park figures? Thanks!
  22. Hey all, I am a previous owner of a 350z that cost me a lot! Things kept going wrong so i fixed it had enough and sold it. Now i had read these were reliable cars maybe i was unlucky or the previous owner shafted me. No doubt this has left a sour taste in my mouth, how ever a little part of me feels like the 370Z may well be okay and i was just unlucky. So I have a few questions. 1. How reliable are these cars, do the wheel arches still rust? Does the bose radio still skip 2. How much is a nissan warranty on these and what does it cover. I am looking at a 11 plate 370z with 40k miles ish. I notice they do 2 levels of cover, one of which is only elegible for cars under 7 years old 3. Any known issues i should be aware of? 4. Do nissan provide warranty if minor modifications for cosmetics are done ie body kit / springs. Thanks All
  23. So as always was just browsing and looking for inspiration, i found this.... Looks so ace More pictures here https://www.flickr.com/photos/jeremycliff/sets/72157625223029849/with/5159626393/ To me the spoiler looks like a Blitz?, but i have never seen anyone's at that angle, maybe its because its at a dead on side view I have no idea what the sides / rear and bumper are. Also i can tell its been lowered, in terms of springs would you say that its around 30mm? Cheers all for the help
  24. So after looking for ages and ages i finally found a spoiler that i really feel suits the lines of the Z, without looking to modded or "aftermarket" Spoiler - Motorsports Lemans from the Z Store http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/350z02a03 This spoiler is now discontinued, and as far as i know that was the only place selling it. They have a "Daytona" which is like the lemans, but sits at a much steeper angle which im not overly keen on My question is, does anyone know where i could get this spoiler, or something like it? I really love the way it looks from the side Thank you
  25. Will check if it's a genuine sender tomorrow Year is 2003. Having my other mechanic collect it tomorrow.
