  1. Not happy with the sound, it is too quiet. I want to be REALLY loud. Also I already bought the short tails.
  2. Hi guys, looks like this is a Stillen exhaust system! Well that was not expected, did not even know it was on the car!. Not too sure what to do here, feel like I have 2 options 1. Trade the Stillen CBE for the stock Nismo exhaust and put on the short tails 2. Have a custom rear pipe fabricated for the stillen so I can hook the short tails in to the stillen exhaust Which do you think will sound better guys? Thanks
  3. Hey all, Is this the standard exhaust for our cars? Has it changed after 2017. If not, what exhaust is this exactly? Im pretty confused right now. I thought the stock exhaust / backbox looked like this? Thanks guys!
  4. An update to this guys: Took the car in to the dealer, and they fixed all the above issues with in 1 day. Im a happy camper
  5. Thanks for the information everyone. I took the tints off the car yesterday, I did prefer the car with them on, but now I can see the recaros through the windows more so thats cool too.
  6. Yes there is a film on them, not OEM. How ever the main dealer said they were legal which is why I am confused by this. Sorry, I can not say I am very well versed in window tints at all, are you saying that they are over the limit then? Thanks
  7. I think they look fantastic as well guys. I am just wanting to essentially make sure they are legal! Hopefully they are so I can leave them on!
  8. Hey all, Bought my Nismo from a main dealer a few weeks ago. The car came with the tints on (side and back) and I did ask if they were legal to which they said "yes" multiple times. How ever they seem pretty dark! I am concerned that they are over the limit. I can not find anywhere that offers a VLT test either. I have put some pics below, let me know what you guys think. Additionally does anyone know what the stock light transmission is for the side windows? Pics below: Thanks!
  9. Hey, Thanks for the info, the reason I want to use the bung rather than smoothing out the hole is because the bung route is reversible. I was thinking of trying to get a colour match on the bung somehow.
  10. Hey all, Has anyone here performed the rear wiper delete for the 370Z? If so what size bung will fit. Will the standard 25mm halfords do the job? Is it just a case of unclipping the boot trim and then unscrewing the wiper base? Thanks
  11. Hey all, I recently purchased a 370Z Nismo last week, the car its self is nice but I am noticing issues the more I drive it. I will list these below if anyone could shed some light on if these are common / standard issues? Car: 2017 Nismo 370Z - 4k miles 1. Recaro seat squeeking. This one is the most annoying, when driving over low speed bumpy roads their is a squeeking noise coming from the drivers side seat. This is insanely annoying, I have checked behind the seat and it does not seem to be catching. None of my past cars have done this. 2. Recaro seatbelts, the seat belts are not automatically feeding back in when removing them. Instead they remain slack and droop on the floor aside the door until you feed these back in manually. This can not be normal surely? 3. Boot hatch pop, this worked for all of 7 days. 2 pops to even get it to open, was this never fixed? Is there a solution for this one 4. The center console cubby is not clipped in properly, no idea why. But this needs to be pushed back in somehow. 1,2 and 3 are the most annoying and im not sure what to do, are these common issues. I dont want to make trips to the dealer every other week. Any input guys? Thanks
  12. Hey all, Got my Nismo last week and have just done a 100 mile trip. I took it very gently to see how high the mpg could go! It averaged at 36mpg. Very surprised this car can get such decent mpg lol.
  13. Thanks for the input everyone. Ended up purchasing the car. Seems like it shouldnt affect resale prices to much in the future.
  14. Cars registered after April 1st 2017 are now taxed @ £140 a year. New tax rules matey
  15. Thanks, I agree its a fantastic car, I was just concerned about resale value, especially given it falls in to the 2017 bracket, so would be competing against other 2017 cars with in the £140 tax bracket. Or do you think people will overlook and not be to bothered about this?
  16. Hey all, So I have been looking for a car for a while, and found a nice Nismo 2017, with less than 10k on the clock. It also has the service pack and comes with 2 free services and has warranty remaining. How ever I have just realised that the tax is £540 a year, as the car missed the reg date by a 2 days so it is not £140. Long term do you think this will cause any major issues in terms of re--sale, will people stay away from this model and jump to the £140 instead? I really like the car, but not sure what to do here. To jump up to a 2017 that qualifies for the £140 tax its gonna cost me over £1500 extra at which point I am probably gonna end up worse off because of the extra outlay for the car. Should I get the car or leave it? All advice appreciated. Thanks
  17. "No I have not been using a dirty cloth to wipe it. In fact it hasn't been washed properly yet just wiped down. " Unless im miss understanding what you mean, the above could be the cause. Surely wiping a non clean car will drag dirt and debris accross the surface of the paint?
  18. So just an update to this guys. I was at a Nissan High Performance Centre today looking at a Nismo 370Z. While looking at this I got told about a '400Z' being in the works by the manager. Bare in mind I had not mentioned the 400Z at all, I asked where he had heard this and if he had read this auto car article above, he said no and just mentioned that internally Nissan had been putting out information about the next Z car. He said as the next GTR is planning to move to hybrid electric / petrol they will be producing a Z car to fill the gap of where the GTR was, so there will be 2 versions of the next Z car with the high performance version putting out 464bhp. This is a few years away though he said. Obviously plans can change etc, and sometimes managers information may or may not be correct, but either way found this interesting and thought you guys would find it interesting to know here. Thanks
  19. Hi, Not looking at it as an investment, just trying to understand if now is a good time to buy lol. Was more curious as to why people were able to purchase 2015 / 16 nismos with sub 1k miles on for £26k year last year, yet they are currently sat at £30k + for the equivalent today. I can see some nice Nismo's with circa 15k miles on for around £25k on auto trader at dealers, but can not imagine they would budge much on that? Thanks
  20. I am trying to understand which way the Nismo prices are moving, based on posts I have read it looks like they may have moved up. Wow, that is a really good deal. For reference the cheapest 370Z Nismo Mark 2 with less than 5000 miles available on autotrader is £28,750 and even then it has almost 5,000 miles on it. Seems like a great deal you got! Thanks good point, added to the OP
  21. Funnily enough this is part of the reason I came from a German car to the 370Z. Spot on!
