  1. I'm thinking of going twin nismo badge on mine for the extra ponies. You can also improve the turn in on heavier alloys with nismo painted on them. If you do that be sure to do it on all 4 wheels otherwise you will mess up the handling!

  2. Ok that reads like a 5 year old wrote it.

    Predictive text sorry 😂

hehe, eegads, my head went all light trying to read that as i didn't get to breathe once :)

have you tried using a double space? i think that gets swapped out for a full stop on modern phones. would make it a lot easier to read a long post :)

  3. It's actually 308.7bhp, so 309bhp is what's usually used :)

yarp, i've seen both, but 1 here or there is less confusing than the ps getting swapped for bhp. it's all peanuts really, just helps knowing the numbers when hunting for the HR. had one dealer try to tell me their DE was the newer engine, he shut up when I told him the newer engine came with dual intakes.

and is it just me, or is hitting the big 300 somehow more important than it should be? probably the gamer in me or something :)

in terms of the drive i don't think i'd be able to notice the difference on power between HR and DE, but i do love the redline on the HR. so much higher than my old 1.8V6 and a big part of the reason i went HR in the first place. the little 1.8V6 in the MX-3 redlines where the DE does, and despite the vast gulf between the 2 cars I think not getting an upgrade there would have niggled at me. but i'm pedantic like that, spend hours researching the best buy for me before setting on a choice :)

  4. HR is the 07+ engine, 313bhp and supposedly has 80% newer parts compared to the earlier engines (DE). Easiest way to ID them is the bulge on the bonnet and under the bonnet they have two air intakes rather than the one.

also HR red lines at 7.5K which means 40mpg in 1st, and don't ask what 3rd redlines at...

little technical correction too, its 313 ps not bhp. this confused me when i was learning about the 350 as i some places i'd see 313 bhp and others i'd see 308 bhp. it's actually 313 ps which = 308 bhp.

Haha I knew someone was going to say this, what's 5bhp between friends ;)

    And it's mph not mpg!

ahahaha, touche and well spotted :)

it doesn't mean anything really, i just remember it confusing me when i was looking for a zed as different ads would quote different numbers and that sort of discrepancy always worries me when it comes to building up trust in a 3rd party you've never met before

  5. It's a big 'if'.

I don't think it's in my interest to make only 3 others dislike me in person.

ahh, then you're in luck, it's a jap meet, so we'll just be the 350z contingent among other jap cars

personally i'm a little nervous given how scruffy my car is at the moment (that poor front bumper is crying for some money, but the mechanicals need sorting first), but sod it, i want to go to a meet!

    3. Hidden Womble (subject to escaping the heart of London)

Everyone else please add your name if your coming :)

Will be finishing work in the heart of London on tues, so no idea when I'll make it to Reading.

Should work out quite well, I'll be much closer to Reading than I normally am, and after the meet I'll be trucking up north to near Manchester, so it's only a small detour and means less time stuck in a hotel room getting bored.

  8. After breaking up with my girlfriend of 7 years who I met on the Internet, I've started using dating apps and I seem to get matched with robots trying to redirect me to sites all the time.

My other problem is trying to find girls without kids haha, me an my exe broke up because I didn't want kids but avoiding them seems to be impossible

try the free sites instead. i've found more fake profiles on paid for sites than i have on free sites. wasn't impressed with the paid sites anyway.

i like pof because the user base is huge, and if you pay for the upgrade it's still cheaper than a paid site and you get all features. paid sites tend to charge extra for the advanced features!

i also like OKCupid for the questions section, you can learn a lot about a potential match from those and i find there tends to be more properly filled in profiles on OKC than pof. pof has a lot of "ask me" profiles, which are my pet peeve :)

I've only been using the apps on my phone at thr moment tinder and badoo which as you say you have to pay extra for features. But I think I may try a proper site as you have suggested

ahh, i thought you meant the likes of match.com or other pay for sites. no experience with tinder or baboo but both pof and okc have apps. they are free to use and message and charge for extras like seeing if a message was read. match.com on the other hand is pay to message then pay even more to get read indicators!

That sounds expensive lol might be cheaper to get hookers haha

there is a good site for that too ;)

but yeah, i was not impressed with the pay for sites, so after my first month i cancelled and subbed up with pof instead for the bonus features. not that you need them mind, but i do like to see if a message was read or deleted.

if you're gonna start somewhere start on pof. not the best of sites but by far the strongest user base

  11. dating sites are a good place to meet people, the tricky part is finding the right person!

different sites are good for different styles of searching too. tinder is very focused on appearance, more pics less text, while a more traditional site like pof or OKCupid encourage users to write a bit more about themselves.

so it depends what your interested in really. i'm searching for a fellow geek so i've been scouring pof and OKC.

so i don't know what to recommend for tinder, but here are some tips i've picked up along the way for normal dating sites

    • fill in your profile (this will filter the wheat from the chaff, don't be the chaff)
    • write a unique first message (while hi or ctrl+v can get a response womens inboxes are flooded with them, so a message that shows you've read their profile can boost your chances)
    • don't compliment a womans looks initially (soooo hard not to accidentally sound creepy, so skip that subject entirely, she's gonna assume you find her attractive cos you sent a message in the first place)
    • check your spelling (she won't know if that was 1 typo in a million or if you never bothered to learn english at school)
    • if you're looking for a certain type of woman, don't be afraid to put the rest off. (i've had well rounded profiles to attract any woman, my current one is very geeky cos i'm looking for a geek)
    • no reply means no interest, don't message again (all it takes is 1 jerk to start spouting abuse after a polite rejection to put women off saying thanks but no thanks. so if you didn't get a reply don't send a follow up message, you've got your answer already)
    • make sure you have a pic with a smile (pro tip, put on a comedy sketch you love and then take a selfie. monty python gave my my first real smile in a selfie, no fake grim as i try to force a smile for the camera!)
    • 1 pic of your face, 1 of your body (clothed! also outside in daylight is good to aim for)
    • don't send dick pics! or get sexual with the chat (my friend is constantly complaining about how she was enjoying a nice convo with a guy then he put her off by trying to talk about sex)

well i hope that helps a few, but like i said some of it probably doesn't apply to tinder
