  1. Thanks for the kind words guys It's still not totally sunk in, just read the police statement saying he was 'probably going to fast for the road conditions' Unfortunately what he loved - cars, bikes and speed proved to be his downfall, I'm just glad the guys in the other car weren't seriously injured. Funeral is in 2 weeks, time to find a shocking pink suit!
  2. Not a facebooker so instead I'll use the forum to have a spill. I'm absolutely shocked, just got news an old mate from college has died in a car crash last night, you just don't expect it to be someone you know. Really sobering and makes you think about those people in your life when something like that happens, and urges me to get back in contact with those I've not seen in a long time!
  3. No way, that leaves you too exposed to splash back from all the seagulling Yeah, and with a convertible TT you've also got to deal with having to make the switch to doing the 'sneaky' with the same sex and the logistics that go with that..
  4. Audi TT, most uncomfortable seats for sneakytimes - there's room for head but no head room!
  5. Yeah I'm only kidding mate, but just to throw in my 2p as a fellow youngster - don't get the car YET, get in a house then when the mustang prices tumble you can pick one up cheap...buy one now and you'll probably be living at home till you're 25+ and no one wants that! "Is that your dads mustang?"
  6. Most people my age don't research costs of things... they call up one insurance company for a 1.2 @*!# box and then accept that is the norm. My first car was a 2003 318i - nice car, boring as hell to drive, but cheap to insure surprisingly - £1600 for an 18 year old with no experience or NCB lol a 1.1- 1.4 @*!# box was only about £200 a year cheaper and I wasn't willing to drive any of those - Again I paid the price for that, but was actually £100 a month more than what I'm paying now for the Z, and I was on higher wages but had more tax and expenses like fuel to deal with - A tank 14 work days or so. So my logic is, I've done it before, and I can do it again Like you say, why not, while I can. Just gotta wait it out and be patient for once... You shouldn't just accept that price as the norm , £700 to insure the Zed and I'm 21 too
  7. Oops, nevermind I see you've already got an interest thread for it!
  8. Cookbot, if you're still around I was thinking you'd maybe be interest in doing some gearknobs as you did for the TT if there was enough demand for it? You have 1 here ðŸ˜
  9. Not seen the film yet, are these guys in it?
  10. Ooh I'm planning on a visit to Scotland early - mid next year so this could tie in nicely +1 depending on the date
  11. 21 & 07 HR Even at my young age I've developed tastebuds so won't be accepting the prize of a fosters
  12. Haha, yea, I do! How you finding the HR? Have you found out how illegal you can get with a redlined 3rd gear yet? Not quite as illegal as redlined 6th gear.....Or so I've been told 😇
  13. Hi Cookbot! You may remember me from the TT forum, just sold my TT and got a HR instead! 😠Be good to see your skills put to use here
  14. Around 2 hours ago I came out of Tesco and there was a Grey Coupe parked next to me, Nismo badge on the rear, I was in an 07 Roadster of the same colour...waited around but you took too long with your shopping!
