I had a burning smell in my 370z a few years back with only 4500k on the clock the Nissan dealer told me the clutch was basically burnt out, although it still drove great, but they said it was not under warranty ( wear & tear ) i was fuming I contacted Nissan UK explaining the situation, they contacted the dealer, pictures of the clutch were exchanged between the Dealer and Nissan UK. Then Nissan UK authorised the Dealer to fit me a new clutch, great result
I now have a 370 Nismo and every now and again i get that horrible burning smell in the car, generally when i am trying to carefully park my car half on the path and road, so obviously im slipping the clutch slightly.
Don't let the dealer fob you off, they are only happy when you are parting with your money.
Contact Nissan UK and explain the situation. Good Luck
ps i wouldn't mention that bit about driving the car hard.
Ok mate thanks I'll definatly give it ago anythings worth a shot than paying for a new one haha. No burning smell just slipping when under heavy load .Nissan should cover it like yours its low milage !
