  1. A mate was telling me that Tesco fuel is just normal 95 with lots of additives in and shell fuel is far superior, burns cleaner. blah blah blah.. TBF I cant tell the difference and I live near Tesco so Tesco wins for me.
  2. ha only my back rests heat up as well. I though this was normal as my bum rest (not sure on the technical name) has never worked. I will be interested to see 9if u find fix
  3. Is it near Swindon? if it is im sure that's the guy I brought my 350 from. Good guy who knows his stuff, only seems to buy decent used cars. I would buy off him again.
  4. Having a small bum will be your problem. Changing your car half way through the year is probably what screwed you, added admin fees and al that jazz. It should be better next year. I find the 350 surprisingly cheap to insure.
  5. Sorry to hijack but what is that bit attached to the boot lid for? I tried close my boot with a box in that was too large and the clips broke
  6. If you are doing town driving or a lot of stop start that sounds about right, well similar to me anyway I average around 23mpg. I do a 25 mile commute to work everyday and a few miles at the weekends. This will cost me bang on £50 a week.
  7. That's exactly what happened to me. I went for a spirited drive pulled up at the lights and could hear a awful tapping noise I though it was a new engine job. I pulled over and saw that the AC belt was coming apart as soon as I changed the belt problem solved. I have never been so relived, although taking the under tray off in the dark while it was raining was not fun at all
  8. I had mine welded at a local exhaust place, its been fine for over a year now and it only cost £40
  9. HI Guys Does anyone have a seating cone (the cone that goes over he ball joint on the control arm) I think this is what it is called? I really need one by the weekend. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  10. I agree with rothers always buy OEM when it comes to sensors. I have tried cheap sensors a few times on various cars and the either go after a few month or in some cases don't even work at all.
  11. I think you can take it to Halfords and they will change it for around £7. I'm not sure how much I would trust them to remove your bumper though lol.
  12. Completely standard apart from having the flange on the back box welded - Because I am tight/poor
  13. Around 65000 miles. I blame the previous owner of course
  14. I cant believe how many of you guys still see saxos on the road I swear I haven't seen a VTS fr yeas
  15. Earlier in the year I did the evo triangle with some friends. We all had different cars. e36 328, 325d, m3, e90 320d civic type r and a near 400 BHP Mitsubishi 3000gt. on the motorway above 80 the 350z the M3 and the Mitsi where miles ahead but as soon as we got of and onto the twisty stuff we could not get away from the 325d (140 bhp if that) on a B road power doesn't make difference its all about who is most committed and willing to push the hardest.

    Costs

I paid 40 to have mine welded locally and it took less than an hour. I was going to replace the exhaust but it has held up well for almost 2 year.
  17. The 323 was released after the 325 it had slightly less power but was a alloy lump so it was a lot lighter. I think they called it a 323 to show it was a new engine. The 328 was also released at the same time it was the second only to the m3 engine. Apanently due to change in emissions laws bmw had to put a restrictive inlet manifold on it. Limiting power to that simular to the 325. Others say bmw really did this because with its original power output of 220 and lighter ally block the performance figures came to close to the m3. Some usless e36 facts for you that I will never be able to unlearn
  18. As was said earlier you should get a compression test done bofore you spend anymore money on her!
  19. But even if the plugs are shot it shouldn't be buring oil should it?
  20. i'm on my phone so i cant give it a proper look but the spark plug don't look that bad to me. Whats the millage of the car, service history etc?
  21. Krispy Kremes you say. the champion of doughnuts
  22. Thanks Guys. i will probably end up changing both at the same time. Then fingers crossed i wont have to pick up a ratchet for at least another 6 months lol. Has anyone changed them themselves? any tricks or stubborn bolts to look out for?
  23. Thanks mate. It gets confusing all these differnt names!!!
  24. Does it use coolant or oil? Overheat? When u said the plug is bad was it just black and sooty or something else?
