  1. Great work fella. Nice car.
  2. My friend had a Cayman, it was about 7-8 years old. He sold it about 4 months ago and shortly after the buyer contacted him as the engine was kaput. IIRC the bill was £7000. I have also heard the later models are the ones to go for.
  3. Whats exhaust tips are they? More pics of the tips/system fitted?
  4. Up until recently, I had a Mondeo ST TDCI as my daily. Great car.
  5. I will be ordering one too a little later in the year - let me know your thoughts
  6. http://www.msvtrackdays.com/car/calendar/2015/april/08-sn-gen.aspx £139. I'm now booking, anyone else fancy it?
  7. I'm pretty confident I did bed them in properly - although I'll do it again tomorrow and see if that improves things.
  8. Hey, I know this is a fairly common set up on the Z's, does anyone else suffer from a squeaky setup particularly when at slow speeds (under 20mph). I noticed the DS2500's didn't come with pad shims which as far as I understand are designed to aid heat transfer as well as prevent squeaking brakes, I did use some copper ease but perhaps that's burnt off after the bed in period has lapsed. Any feedback or opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks
  9. Great work. Good to see another 24 year old owner with a GM GT taking good care of their car
  10. One thing to note with the Scorpion - I had issues with fitment, it was fouling the rear axle/chassis so required some heat on a bracket and a bit of bullying to bend to a better fit. Quality wise, it's cheaper for a reason I guess. But having said that, it does make a good noise
  11. 2 orders in as many weeks for me, next day delivery both time by FedEx. Thanks Ewen, the packet of sweeties really made my girlfriends day
  12. I have a Scorpion and it doesn't drone one bit. It's also not that raspy, no popping or farting either, It's loud enough for you to realise your running an aftermarket exhaust but quiet enough for that stealth mode if the revs are kept below 3k.
  13. Although the car isn't due a service, I thought a full oil change wouldn't go a miss. So, 5/30 Motul engine oil with Nissan OE filter and Nissan Diff and Box oils paired with molyslip are going in next week. Cheers Clark motorsport for first class service and next day delivery yet again And then this happened...
  14. Thanks for the input guys. Ewen @ Clark motorsport has sorted me out all the engine, diff and box oils and I opted for the molyslip on your recommendations.
  15. Talk to me about this 'molyslip'...
  16. I will be doing it on a axle stands, has anyone any experience with doing it this way?
  17. I'm more concerned about topping them back up as I'm assuming there's little room to tip up a bottle of oil, is a pump with a hose attachment not necessary?
  18. Completing a DIY diff and box oil service, assuming one of these is needed: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OIL-SUCTION-GUN-GEAR-BOX-SUMP-DIFFERENTIAL-TRANSMISSION-CAR-TRUCK-PUMP-/400532171480?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item5d4193ead8 Anyone used this? Any other recommendations?
  19. All of the services have been completed by a Nissan dealer. The last time it was serviced was 5 months ago.
  20. Guys, Here is my cars history: 9264 miles - P1 16755 miles - P2 21715 miles - P1 29812 miles - P3 34854 miles - P1 37463 miles - P2 420421 miles - P1 48764 miles - P2 The car currently has 52000 miles, it's a 55 plate. I am wondering if it would be overkill to complete a complete oil change (engine, diff, gearbox) however I don't want to throw away £120 in fluids if it isn't necessary. At what point in the above would a complete oil change have been done? At the P3? If so, that was in Sept 2009 so I'd consider doing the changes myself. The plugs were done at in Sept 2010 at 35000 miles (17000 ago) and the car runs great so I'm going to presume these are good for another 10-20k. Essentially, my question is - is the car due a service? I must hasten to add, the car runs absolutely spot on in every area - I am purely concerned about keeping the history and service record up to date. Appreciate your help. Alex
  21. I've got a diamondbrite kit in the garage, never used it, got given it with my old TypeR. I'm not going to use it...
