  1. Definitely Honda Civic I'm about to put mine up for sale if interested......
  2. Hate to say this but I've also heard the occasional noise recently but from the front drivers side. Was wondering if it was the drop-links or brushes. Not sure about the noise though as it isn't happening often enough yet, I've had the coil/suspension go on my Pug before and that was a real loud knocking noise and it doesn't sound as bad as that.
  3. Never actually driven an STi....always been one of my dream cars though, preferably in Scooby blue. Mileage unfortunately is the big killer for us, hubby works over near Watford and we live west of Reading so he covers a lot of miles and hence the need to buy something under 60k. Want to steer clear of the 2.5l engines as well. Budget: was thinking up to 6k for unmolested, or 8.5k to 9k for one with the right mods.
  4. Story of my life at the moment WhackyWill.....keep missing the good ones! Keep your hair on 370Ad, the Scooby is for hubby (replacement for the Civic)....although I will obviously be driving it hence trying to make sure we get a good 'un. Ekona, looking for an Impreza preferably STi but will consider WRX/PPP etc. Blobeye, bugeye up to 2006 plate (low tax band). Mileage needs to be low.....60k absolute tops. Good clean coachwork, usual stuff. If anyone knows of any let me know please.
  5. The general consensus on Scoobynet is avoid them like the plague. Guess I need to be patient, finding a decent Scooby seems so much harder than finding my Z
  6. Googled them but didn't find much. Sure someone told me to avoid them but not sure why. I'm on Scoobynet so I can ask around.
  7. Anyone used Boys Toys Ltd (Buckinghamshire)? They advertise on Pistonheads and Autotrader loads and seem to have a wide stock of Scooby's. Just wondered if they are a bit of a dodgy outfit though?
  8. I had someone drive into my Pug earlier this year while it was parked and unattended. I was lucky (or unlucky) enough to witness the event so the other driver had to take full responsibility. I reported it to my insurance Co and it went down as a non fault claim (NCD not affected) & I picked the body shop repairer and my rental replacement, all at no cost to me. However when I went to renew my insurance I still had to declare it and it did make a small difference to my premium even though the accident had nothing to do with me. I think the only way around it might be to settle costs privately but in my case the damages came to over a grand so the other party couldn't afford to.
  9. I think you have a nicer rear end also. EDIT: Before anyone wonders and draws the wrong conclusion, Kraziekatz1 is female and a work friend. I don't normally talk about rear ends on a forum. Thank you to Kraziekatz1 for altering to me a potential public embarresment Grrrrr......
  10. Yes, I have heard about your fondness for small rears lol
  11. Don't really fancy a mess on the leather upholstery though lol
  12. :welcome:to the Z forum, Faye. Sorry it's a bit late (haha, just noticed I'm probably the only member not to have commented on your post yet!)
  13. Cool must admit, did have a brief 'is this a jdm - fog light?' moment. Seems a shame to have this red-lite switch and not use it for something though.
  14. It's the spoiler that does it.....the Z wins hands down in the front view photo though!
  15. I'm Reading, welcome to the forum & good to have another Z in the area.
  16. But would you say your DC5 turns more heads than my z? I feel a challenge coming on......tomorrow?? Well, to be honest, considering how your Z looks, I think it would be pretty even. The difference is, with me behind the wheel of your Z, I would turn more heads than you hahaha Ok, so a challenge, how do you plan on judging who wins or shall we just accept the inevitable and say I won, I mean, you know how popular I am at work The words 'pretty boy' spring to mind for some reason lol Shall we ask that lovely lady who cleans the office? I'm sure she would give a good, unbiased answer!

  18. Sorry to revive an old thread 370Ad http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/56218-red-switch-on-right-of-steering-wheel-near-esp/page__st__60. But does anyone know what the red switch by the steering wheel does, other than light up when I press it. And if it doesn't do anything, what cool gizmo can I connect to it?
  19. Please don't let Linus27 see this thread he'll be rubbing his DC5 nose in my z face BTW my head always turns for a z, I maybe slightly biased though
  20. Oh Adam, do you really think I'd take the zed to Mr Clutch? No of course not, it was the Pug. I've been letting the kids hone their mechanical skills on the zed. Bet you can't wait to see it
  21. No, car used daily and front brakes only affected. Although vibrations under braking were noticeably worse after it was parked at Gatwick for 2 weeks. They put it down to faulty parts. Either way, new disc and pads fitted so total result
  22. They said corrosion. Will get them to show me when I collect. Must say thanks to my local garage who recommended trying the warranty route....never would have thought of it myself.
  23. Mr Clutch replaced brake discs and pads under warranty .....brilliant considering they'd done 10k miles.
  24. Erm, yeah. Might just run it back to Mr Clutch tomorrow and see if they'll cover it under warranty.
