  1. Can you save GT halfway through a race now then? I haven't turned my PS3 on in well over a year. I left it here when me and the ex moved to a new house.

My xbox1 has been on for 4 days now lol.

Yep for the endurance races they added an update at some point which allowed you to "suspend" the race and save it. Only thing with it was that when you next turned on Gran Turismo the only race you could do was the one you'd already started. ;)

I would say the most difficult part of the operation is having the right size screwdriver. Changing a plug is more challenging! :D

    No worries then.

I have plenty of screwdrivers and screwdriver bits here to choose from at home. Might even use my TengTools miniature ratchet with a screwdriver bit just to be different. B):teeth:

Now that's pushing the boat out! Love the Tengs Tools, very nice pieces of kit.

  2. The 2 year old Yuasa battery in my wifes Prius failed today , wont hold a charge at all , assuming dead cell.

Hmmm thats making me think German again... I can get the Bosch for 80ish quid in stock 2 miles away from work...

  3. Well it looks like after 12 years of service it might well be time to look for a new battery to replace the stock one.

I'm looking at probably swapping it out for a Bosch S4: http://www.eurocarpa...3c834d78

Just before I do, does any one have any alternatives that they would recommend over this one? Lighter ones, different battery type, manufacturer, etc.

    Cheers.... :teeth:

  4. Did it on my PS3 and that was a piece of urine.

Had to get a HDD caddy but that was the only unusual piece of hardware or equipment I needed.

Seems easy to do on the PS4 too providing you stick within the limits of the size of the HDD you can fit, 9.5mm being the maximum.

Just waiting for my HDD to arrive.

  5. Ok so I'm looking to try and use a clay bar on my car for the very first time, but when looking on a few detailing suites they say match the clay lube to the clay.

Ive got a mixed set of these - Chemical Guys Clay Luber and Meguiars Clay Bar. Is it likely to cause any issues or should be ok together?

    Any thoughts greatly appreciated..

  6. Looking great, one tip I have is remember to polish it regularly or it will oxidise. Mine did as I didn't realise to start with.

Best thing for it is Mother's Billet polish, definitely worth getting some to keep it looking nice.

  7. Just got home at 8:30 pm. I hit every bit of traffic in the uk so made my own route home and still hit it. I did call at cougar store for an hour on way back but still. Over 7hrs back to West Yorkshire!

Anyway. Great to meet everyone who was there when i turned up. My HR is now kicking out 313hp which ironically enough is how it came out of the nissan fillopean tubes. An increase of 10hp though from base run and much smoother torque now.

I couldnt realy experience the new map crawling in traffic at 10mph, so i think a country blast is order this weekend.

The snake pass is always fun!

  8. Personally I wouldn't drive on that, and have thrown tyres away with less damage. Think about the force you're putting on that area during cornering, and at what pressure. Plus what if you nick it again in the same spot?

You did the right thing by getting it checked out professionally, and of course they've seen it up close and have given their opinion, but for me that's just a little too much damage.

Hmm the guys at the tyre shop did it was just a nick and not anywhere near the coding and so hence we completely safe to drive on.

My next door neighbour is a service manager at a garage and said the same thing.

Do you really think it's that bad Dan?

  9. Pic? I don't want to say anything either way until seeing the damage, as my first thought is replace as if it's big enough to be cosmetically noticeable, then there is very likely to have structural damage.

They're too important to risk. That said, I do have the perfect solution for you, just want to see a pic first :)

Sorry for the delay thought I'd replied to this before. Will post a pic tomorrow when it's light again on what its looking like.
