  1. Hey guys,

Just as it says what happens to your handling as you go through sizes and widths of wheels?

Currently running stock 18 inch GT wheels but looking at some nice JR21s from Tarmac. They are very different at 19 x 9.5 / 11, so will look great but not sure what will happen to the handling.

Any pointers /past experience welcome our also any handy links to read up on the subject would be great.

It's a daily driver so want to be sure it looks good but doesn't become less fun to drive.

  2. I have milltek with Berks hfc. Sounds good, not loud and no drone. The hfcs make the exhaust a bit raspy above 4k rpm which some don't like. All passes not fine

i also have a full milltek system with decats .

its quiet below 4k but as soon as you open the taps it sounds amazing.

also no drone what so ever at motor way speeds.

i personally would like it if it sounded the same right through out the rev range and not just above 4k as the miltek produces a deep note not dissimilar to more expensive exotic motors

Thanks for the input guys. I'm thinking if I should go Berk out Milltek for the HFC. Berk is obviously the usual choice but just wondering on these other Millteks. Has anyone got them on the forum? Just curious to see.

  3. Hey guys had anyone gone for a full Milltek system with Milltek Sports HFCs and then full cat back?

Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on them as a full setup. As might change what I have possibly.

Looking for something with HFC but clearing emissions and not too loud so maybe the resonated HFCs.

  4. Yeah Jez at HDev said they are fine as long as you get them hot before you test. Just wondered about the other Torqen have on the website add there is quite an array.

  5. Have got round to sorting a spacer yet lol

Plenty in stock if you want new, Motordyne :)

Once you fitted everything, including the HFC, go to Jez@Horsham to have your UpRev done and disable the O2 sensors so you don't get any engine management light on :) but also improve the power a little bit.

Which of the HFCs will pass the MOT exhaust tests? Is it all or a smaller list from those that you have on the website Adrian? Thinking for my 04 DE, but need to make sure it passes its next MOT. :D

  6. I wouldn't know about selling them on, but I'd imagine that you could find a buyer for a quality set of wheels like this. I would personally think about getting the right sizes for what you want. Obviously narrower wheels will be less flush with the arches with the same offset, but as grundy also said, to achieve a good filled arch look you'd really want to lower it a bit.

Well yes that probably woud be a good idea, but how low would be right for a good look and then what would that mean for where I live, which is speed bump central? Is it going to mean turtle speed on the bumps? :)

Blue and bronze work suprisingly well together

I'm just not sure... you think? rays_wheels_volk_racing_ce28n_10_spoke_12_zpsyf4gtfxp.jpg

  7. Right so the mighty Rays Jpn have come back to say that they are a 3 month lead time and that if I go 9.5 / 10.5 then I can only do this in bronze as its the only colour that they do the 10.5 in. Such a selection of colours! As I have an Azure 350 I'm not sure sure I like this look, so either I'll have to go thinner to get the colour or start looking again.

On the wheel sizes they have these:

Which would mean it would have to be 8.5 / 9.5 if I did get them but what do you guys think? Is that really too skinny - just thinking about what Grundy said previously?
