    S15 query

I really want a S15 spec r and really wanted to know if anyone has any in the past. Good thing and bad things about them. Stuff to look out for etc etc Any help would be good thanks
  3. We have been speaking about just getting rid of the plenum completely and designing a whole new part. Similar to the kinetic system with the price tag that follows it. The garage is really interested in this and is going to be doing plenty research to see what's out there and best. But he's says himself that parts are silly because it's got a name on it and he wants to make parts that are fair and actually work for the purpose they were built
  4. It's looking like it going to be an intake box with a single pipe straight to the throttle body. I believe everything is going to be getting coated to keep the cold air actually cold and insulating the maf to prevent false reading. The machinist making the solid parts has be working with how air flows for years and years and is looking at the best ways of forcing the air into the filter and where's it's supposed to be going.
  5. So after having a meeting with the garage we have thrown some ideas about and we going to continue with the intake kit. Seems like he has mentioned some stuff I've not seen done so be interesting. Aswell as the intake kit rid going to be looking at the plenum itself with manufacturing plenum spacers at an affordable price and designing a whole new plenum as it seems that's where most of the problem is. Also I was telling him the price I paid for my rare jdm harness cover and is possibly planning on making a cheaper alternative.
  6. To be honest I expected a bit of a better response mostly 'oh this most be interesting let's see how this pans out' or 'maybe they'll come up with something interesting' Rather than a 'not going to work, nope not at all, wasting your time' etc etc Why do anything to our cars at all? Why put a front bumper on if it's not going to optimum down force, why out wheels on that are going to be heavier than the standard Ray's, why put carbon bits on our cars if it not making the car lighter?
  7. * BANG BANG BANG* Shoot me down guys why don't you. As I said in my original post I'm not paying for anything. So that's no cost for me on dyno runs nor for the intake kit. If the kit isn't going to give better results then the garage in question aren't going to build them. If do they get better results than the bigger velocity stack and cosworth filter currently installed then I gain a better intake...if not then nothing lost and nothing gained. Let's all be optimistic here and hope they can come up with a better alternative to the standard box. As for price the whole point of this was to build a cheaper alternative rather the £400+ for a bee r, amuse. Arc etc intake kits on the market.
  8. I thought I would start this off here and I'll update with any info that I get along the way. I was contacted last week from a garage specialising in drift modification asking if the could borrow my car for a week. They were contacted by someone wanting an intake for there zed and sent many models across for examples and the prices they were coming back with were horrendous. So the plan is the garage are going to use my car for making up templates and testing in exchange I get a free intake. I believe so far we have discussed having a single pipe from throttle body to filter, cover over the filter then a coating over that to prevent from heating up. The car is going to be getting out on the dyno through out to check for any changes and hopefully get it smoother and some extra numbers also. Not sure yet but if all goes well then there might be a group buy afterwards once is been tried and tested and I speak to the admin.
  9. A small selection of old cars I've had here Starlet gt turbo Ep3 civic type r Bmw 318 And finally the 1st zed
  10. That's the zed away on a holiday to get some r&d on a better flowing air intake. Be interesting to see what it comes back with
  11. Yeah I know Pete. I'm quite good friends with him
  12. As am I...recognised the car I'm sure and union square car park
  13. You from Aberdeen by any chance?
  14. Some units require it and some don't it seems. I've a pioneer and mine is fine with out it connected
  15. Yeah I'll come past and see u on Monday
  16. How much are you looking for it?
  17. Latest addition to the zed is this minimalists under strut sub enclosure for a steal from neo. I really like how simple it is and not to over the top with 12" subs everywhere etc. Now all I need to do is wire it up 😂
  18. If you give demon plates a call they can make ur number plate as short as legally possible. Also the marking the plate has to have will be minimal size so you can barely see them unless looking up close.
  19. Looking for the non Bose blank behind the drivers seats. Has anyone got one?
  20. My car is 10 years old and I just got a full respray. I never got the respray because of rust but just because I wanted a change. When the bodyshop to the car apart there was a sign of rust anywhere on her. Obviously if you buy one that been kept beside the coast you are more likely to come across it but I've never heard of people having trouble with rust.
  21. I'm local to Aberdeen and I've never seen this car...strange
