Whats next? GOAL:- Everyday car plus casual drift and track car Stripping the rear of the car of tools, spare wheel, plastics, rear metal strut brace and the metal structure behind the seats (no idea on its name). Followed shortly by the adding of a rear half cage, some bucket seats and harnesses (but need to retain standard seatbelts as well). Diff? Remap? Thoughts?

Off topic, but I test drove a C63 AMG and was not impressed, seating position was odd (feet are over to the right and steering wheel is over to the left), the standard Mercedes foot/parking brake and the car just did not feel as special as it should have. Felt like any of the new Mercs with a little bit of noise (and I had to have the windows open to hear it). Also, the service I received from Merc was terrible!!! Made to wait ages, salesman just walked away without saying anything.... I very nearly walked out without the test drive! Obviously, this is all my opinion and I hope you have a better experience in the car!

Hahaa, opps.... no change, still the cobra exhaust then does it change the sound much? Can it be silenced a bit more? Price? Thanks

Need to replace my ypipe as the flexi bits have worn through and are blowing. Whats about? Can I get a silenced version to make the car a little quieter? Have a scorpion rear section and midpipe. What have you got for me?

Mini Cooper (classic) - loved it, but too easy to break (I removed the gearshifter from the gearbox and dented the roof - at the same time) Nissan GT-R35 - love it!!!! Better than I ever expected Honda S2000 - disappointed, felt cramped inside and having to rev the engine takes getting used too Audi R8 v10 - lovely sound, but the gear change is terrible Aston Martin v8 Vantage S - lovely sound, but the gear change is terrible Mercedes C63 AMG - disappointed, just felt like an average car that someone had put a v8 into, nothing special

Yeah, was good fun!! Turbo came on and immediately I had a smile just a shame that the GTR is so much better, I just was not driving the Scooby. Car has since been built to 2.1 forged with a few more engine mods (by the new owner). I'm glad you posted that second picture. I have been looking at Team Dynamics wheels in black for my Scooby but wasn't sure what multi spoke wheels would look like. Now I'm sold There should be a load more pics in the link at the bottom of that post (my photobucket set). Awesome wheels, had r888s on them and they were fantastic!!! Even in the wet (just not in standing water)!

Im excited too!! If it is the new GTR, I doubt it will be on the road until 2018, especially since the Nismo edition has only just been release. If it is the new GTR, I might have to get my deposit down

Got some time off, so time to start fiddling with the 350z So Im looking for:- Spacers for the rear wheels (20mm) Rollcage rear half (all the plastic, metal, braces, etc is coming out) Bucket seats not too aggressive, reclining would be a bonus - must be able to retain seatbelts

Brakes are the Akebonos from earlier and the wheels are just 18" touring wheels so nothing spectacular.... but will get some up soon there is more coming

Cars successfully swapped over. New brakes are rather good New exhaust adds a lot more noise, maybe a touch too much, but will see New suspension fair bit better New wheels, need spacers on the rear But well impressed!!!

so any other examples of simple for 4 point cages? I will have a chat with customcages on Monday.

Turns out that shipping works out a lot cheaper if I have 2 cars so there is a 2nd MK1 in the container 2nd car gets picked up next week and both should be shipped shortly after!

Seems like Sly needed a little longer, so I am collecting the tomorrow Looking forward to this!! And dropping off the GTR at the same time.

i'd imagine that's the biggest understatement of the year so far! haha, once you get used to it ~600hp doesn't seem enough! 700-750 would be perfect in a GTR; just to get a near flat torque curve of 620lbft. too right about getting used to it.... but I still think that 600-620 is the sweet spot. No hassles of a built engine, built gearbox (or issues with it not being built) and you have saved yourself £20k Just ordered some new DBA discs and pads to go with them. Fancied something a little different from the norm and got a half decent price. Tomorrow I am picking up the 350z (looking forward to this) from Sly and dropping off the GTR for a service, brakes and MOT (its first).

What sort of prep work is required? How easy is it to fit? And waiting for some of the answers to questions above, but I am interested in one for my 2002 car.

the pearl white is an issue on the GTRs as well a shame that the 240 is not driven
