  1. Don't feel bad about losing to you Andy. Great Zed and congratulations.
  2. Whoopsie. Sorry Darren but glad you won them ~ still a good price too. I've seen the boot carpet alone go for between £40-£60 so it's still a good buy.
  3. Good luck and you never know it might not look that bad once you've had a good chance to try some minor repairs on it. Fingers crossed for you. I'd still spoil yourself and the motor though with the tax rebate if you can ~ don't let some drunken idiot ruin your plans or fun. Just not worth fretting over.
  4. Those side steps always look great on the Zeds. Are you going to colour code them or leave them in black? Either way looks cool.
  5. Guess your right and totally agree with you about the publicity. It can only be a good thing for you & Tarmac Sportz which is a good thing that I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing you the best with in that respect.
  6. Thought the second video would give you a good idea of the results you can get using one of the windscreen repair kits. If you need any help you know I'm local but it's all pretty straight forward if you use either of the kits/techniques on the videos as you can see.
  7. Used to buy Fast Car back in the 90's when I was a youth. Then I grew up. Really hope they do a good job on the 350Z and with the parts from Tarmac Sportz they're making a good start but still not 100% sure if they won't still fu*k it up & turn it into a chav chariot.
  8. That sucks but it's better to walk away then just jump on the first 350 you like the look of, ...especially if said 350 is already showing signs of possible problems. Enjoy the hotel and of course the mini bar.
  9. Find a built up area Perry690 and drive through it in second gear at 3K rpm or better still a long tunnel ~ you will love the sound. One thing, if you are planning on an UpRev then make sure you do any other mods first. Eg: Replacing the rest of the exhaust system, plenum spacer or any other breathing mods.
  10. Sad and angry for you SkylineV35 reading this. Hard to tell exactly from the pictures but couldn't you at least try one of the windscreen repair kits ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/200958763234?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&lpid=95&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=95&ff19=0 ) and possibly some GTechniq G4 glass polish afterwards like 350 Russ suggested? I've seen the glass repair kits being used on some seriously bad chips before and the results are great.
  11. I've heard some good things about them. Another member on here called Tigerzed had his UpRev on his Zed done there. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/80806-uprev-booked/
  12. Service schedule can be found here; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/31107-service-schedule-for-a-350z/ Some are still running on the standard clutch at over 100K btw. Think mine is still on it's original clutch at 90K odd.
  13. It's surprising how much you can learn on here with no kids, social commitments and around 4-5hrs a night free.
  14. I thought so. I'm boring with colours though so would probably just go for a brushed aluminium or something ~ wouldn't want my Zed to look like something from the Fast & the Furious Tokyo Drift.
  15. Nissan dealerships will charge you a lot though. Most people especially people like me with older 350's tend to use good independent garages as their labour rates are lower and the service is just as good if not better I've found. Can't hurt though to ring them up and see how much they'd charge you to look at it & diagnose any fault with the back box/exhaust system. Should be a 5 minute job for them so hopefully they'll do it for free hoping you'll use them for the work (not likely though). Then if you find out you do need a new back box then either get a good second hand standard one/uprated one or a nice new one from one of the traders on here and have an independent garage fit it for you.
  16. Some good colour options I've found for those wheels that may be of interest jonny jones.
  17. It was just a guess so may not be that. It did happen to me on my Mondeo ST24 that I used to own many years ago but that was a car with 70K miles odd on the clock & on it's original exhaust still. I checked mine like this ~ One exhaust pipe had very little pressure coming out of it when you put your hand over the exit pipe (caution it may be hot). The exhaust box also rattled when you shook it. Not sure tbh whether it would be a big problem. Obviously if it is that then it is restricting the flow of exhaust gases slightly from your back box which may impede performance so should really be replaced with a new or good second hand back box. Any garages locally to you that you trust to look at your Zed? ..are you close to any of the garage traders on here?
