  1. I was looking at all sorts of oil catch cans before I settled on the Rutlands one which a fair few other supercharged Zed owners have/are using. The thing for me was where are you going to mount such a large oil catch can? With other things like a fuel pressure regulator in the engine bay and other bits I just thought it was better to just go for the tried and tested one. ChrisB doing his supercharger build (members build threads) has gone for the Mishimoto oil catch can but it is very expensive imo ~ also he has yet to find a place to mount it so you may want to check out his build thread before buying anything.
  2. What happened with the belts in the end then Ian? I know you're not running the 3.12" pulley (as you've a better one ) but what belt did you have to use in the end?
  3. It is confusing that's why I have done as much research on it as possible before going ahead with anything. Oil catch can I've bought: http://oilcatchtank.com/rutland-motors-about-us/ Link for more info about it: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/58175-oil-catch-can-tested-and-proven/ Non return valve: http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/nylon-non-return-valve-10mm Gates reinforced fuel/oil hose: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330803508813?var=540090527905&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Mini Air filter/breather: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330803496881?var=540090517553&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 That's basically what I've bought. Obviously you could change some bits if you like for more expensive items (eg: oil catch can/filter etc) but most of the parts I've bought because others have used them before me with good results.
  4. Great news Ian that it's all up and running with good power too, ...bit of issues but glad all was sorted in the end. Never liked that splitter on your Zed anyway so think Jez did you a favour really.
  5. That "Traffic Droid" guy is definitely going to get taken out if he keeps giving motorists abuse/red cards, ....everybody makes mistakes occasionally but not everybody reacts well to being told they've made a mistake.
  6. Love that guy ~ funny as f**k.
  7. Have you drilled out your standard OEM PCV on the drivers side? I was advised to do that by GT4 Zed... Mines not all set up yet but this is how I was going to do my set up; On the passenger side I was going to put a mini breather filter. On the drivers side I was going to take the pipe from the crank case to the oil catch can, then take the pipe from the exit side of the oil catch can to the plenum with a non return check valve inline to stop pressure from the plenum going backwards towards the oil catch can/crank case.
  8. Varies depending on the cyclist tbh. When I see cyclists running red lights and weaving in between moving traffic then it does get me a bit annoyed. When I see cyclists holding up motorists by riding two or more abreast then I get really annoyed (I see that as selfish especially when they can see queues forming behind them whilst they chat away). Generally I'm a very courtious driver (imo), ...always give room to cyclists, let out other road users etc etc but I feel like some of the cyclists have a very selfish attitude to riding on the roads which we all share. Their attitude seems to be like "same road, same rules for all" but then they "hog the road, follow none of the rules & ignore others rights".
  9. Hi Alex, can't answer your question sorry but the best person who could is probably GT4 Zed or at least give you some ideas. He's not on here as often nowadays but if you hover your cursor arrow over his name you'll see the "send message" icon. Best off sending him a PM as that way it will go to his email as well and you're more likely to get a response.
  10. If you can't out pedal the drag caused by a small number plate on a push bike then you really do need to get fitter. Listen unfortunately for you Fodder as a law abiding cyclist you are in the minority. If we say for instance daily that 25% of motor vehicles on the road break the law (whether it's speeding or whatever) then the percentage of cyclists breaking the law would be something more like 90% if not more imo. You can argue all day long if you like but I'm sorry that's just in my opinion so it won't change. I understand that not all cyclists are inconsiderate or law breakers but the sad fact is whether it's riding on the pavement, running a red light or simply riding without lights at night the majority do all these things, ...and get away with it most of the time which is another reason it peeves off the majority of vehicle owners.
  11. Got a gunmetal grey 53 Fairlady Import... Had her about 8 months just have not had time to actually sit down and sign up ( Too busy working or tickering with it Best colour.
  12. Welcome aboard. Got a Zed then or just on the hunt for one?
  13. How would you do that? I know you're referring to external markings but I don't think that's practical on a "push bike". Looks pretty feasible to me ~ easy enough to do on a push bike.
  14. Some great Zeds in this thread now.
  15. Good to hear and post some pics if you can. P.S. Did you use the belt you got off eBay then with the 3.12" pulley? Going to order it once I know it works with yours.
  16. Flipping heck, far too many knobs & switches for me. I'd probably press the wrong thing and turn the darn thing off during flight or something. Very cool though.
  17. Front ~ 18"x 8J Rear ~ 18"x 8.5J Is that what you where after?
  18. Hhmm, maybe try asking Abbey Motorsport or similar garage based traders on here to see if they've come across it before. Not much help I know sorry.
