  1. Ooops Well it is earlyish She's already mrs irfan lol
  2. +1 Unfortunately I have worked for a similar a**e in the past, although, not quite as bad as this one it would seem. The danger with this kind of megalomaniac is that ultimately they don't care about anyone else at all to such a degree that he would probably even be prepared to take/fight the legal consequences if it came down to a wrongful dismissal situation. Wait and see what Will comes back with and go from there Hope you can get it sorted mate
  3. If the future Mrs LRF4N agrees with number 4................................
  4. Whatever you do, don't hand your notice in until you've got a plan and or another job, especially in this economic climate
  5. I sold my original Alloys, perfect (not Rays) for £180.00 October 2010 I bought Rays completely refurbed for £450.00 August 2010 A good refurb is probably £50 to £65 a rim.
  6. Have a look here http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyres_For/Nissan/350z.htm
  7. I posted this last Weds, hope it helps:- it's in the tyre review guide Page 18 This is info I have gathered today and to my knowledge is accurate, it may or may not be useful when considering tyres at the moment and you should double check yourself as the situation will change. Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta 245 x 45 x 18 Rears - available Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta 225 x 45 x 18 Fronts - "none in the country and on back order, won't be in the country before mid March" If you order them direct from Vred then you won't get them before May, i.e. you go to the back of the queue. Toyo Proxes T1R Only fronts available, these tyres are apparently now discontinued and will be replaced with an asymmetric tread pattern, release date in the UK currently unclear. This info is from tyre manufacturers and major on line distributors, you maybe lucky and find them at smaller local tyre distributors but I couldn't. I hope this is useful.
  8. I'd be very wary of this lot, I received an email from them a couple of weeks ago and I've never been in touch with them or heard of them before. I emailed back and asked where they had got my details from and they replied saying "oh you must have contacted us before". Funny that since that day I've never heard another squeak from them by standard email contact. I do have a very dormant Facebook account and I had an email a few days ago saying Marc at Turbopacs wanted to be my friend!! Purely on that basis I would have nothing to do with them
  9. Easy enough, I did it on my Sky dish 3 years or so ago, just make sure someone "foots" the ladder for you
  10. No, but I believe there has already been communication!!
  11. Her - "Does my bum look big in this (insert any "what do you think, how do I look" question here) darling?" You - "No of course not sweetheart, you look fantastic" Wow John you are on my level. I have always believed in honesty and when my missus said do you like my new hair (she had it cut very short) I said she looked like a young boy. This upset some what but my recovery of "I didn't say I didn't like young boys" wasn't the best panick recovery I have ever done!!!
  12. From memory, I think this can be caused if the stations have been tuned using the local mode, if you do this and then drive to another area I think the unit then automatically tunes to the next strongest station/stations. I don't have access to the manual at the moment but it might be worth checking, the other setting (can't remember what it's called) tunes to all available stations, not just local. Worth checking perhaps
  13. Yes, I feel Laverne may be running a close second during the next few months
  14. I'm a great believer in writing reviews when the service is good, not just when things go wrong, not that they ever have for me at Abbey.
  15. You see, sometimes it's just meant to be, at the weekend I said that was it with mods for a while and then the mod god comes along and ensures that I HAVE to do it
  16. Paul, tell me you are pulling our chains, please!!!?
  17. Some of you will have seen my earlier post regarding today having been an expensive day To sum up, went to Abbey today for a P3 service and new spark plugs, unfortunately, other problems came to light. Namely, the front discs were so badly corroded on the inner sides that they had "destroyed' the pads, the air con belt was also cracked and needed replacing Decision time, and I agree to have new DBA rotors, Ferodo Pads and the aircon belt replaced. In no time the whole thing was resolved and the car was ready to go. I should also point out that before Christmas Abbey changed my brake hoses and the brake pedal had a wee bit more travel than is good but Abbey had pointed this out a the time and as it was late in the day we agreed to "see how it went". When I booked the P3 service Abbey agreed to rectify the brake pedal travel issue and have done so free of charge. Financially it wasn't the day I had in mind but in hindsight it was all stuff that was due to haunt me at MOT time in April, the car feels so different now and I have much more confidence in the brakes , this can only improve once the brakes are completely "bedded in" While I was there I also asked for an extra litre of Motul engine oil to take home with me to use for occasional topping up, unfortunately Scott, Charlie and I all forgot to check that it was in the car before I left. Later in the afternoon, while I was having the new Falkens fitted at Total Tyres Sarah at Abbey called me to say that Charlie had found my litre of oil outside the office where he'd left it. He apparently didn't want to have it rolling about in the car as it was one litre in an already opened 5 litre container, while he took it out for road test. Imagine my surprise, when, just before 7 tonight Scott arrives on our doorstep with my litre of Motul That, I think, is the fourth time I've been to Abbey, Uprev, Clutch, Brake Hoses and P3, On each and every occasion I have been unable to find fault with either their attitude or professionalism. It should also not be forgotten that Sarah is an excellent provider of coffee, toast and Marmite (don't tell Husky ) and Hot Cross Buns I've had all sorts of vehicles serviced at all sorts of main dealerships over the last 30 years or so but never quite to the level of service that Abbey offers. If you haven't and you live near enough, get in there, you'll be glad you did Thanks again guys
