Back on topic. Decided to do the ios6 software upgrade to my iphone 4 (it's doing it now), I can change phones now but my contract is up in December, think I'll give the new software a trial run until then and then decide what to go for then and shop around for the best deal

So at low speed you can hear whatever is making contact once and at higher speed this becomes a rubbing noise because of the increased revolutions. Have you checked the metal brake disc guards at the rear haven't been moved/slightly bent, not usually known as clicking noise in fairness though Failing that if you get a click when you brake then pads and caliper assembly worth a closer look
