Got a bit too carried away with the hot foam brush and snapped off my stubby - I'm wondering if there's anything I can do with the remainder as it looks like there isn't enough exposed thread to screw anything into anymore - can anyone tell me if the picture below looks like I'll need a new mount? Or can I remove the remainder somehow?

I'd like a pair of smoked next time these become available - there's a start!

Well thanks for all the suggestions... I went with satin black in the end with carbon dipped centres...and had my badges carbon dipped while I was at it!

I'm getting my Rays 18's refurbished and painted next week, and am having trouble deciding on colours. The car is going down an 'all-black' route already as I've de-badged (except black burger badges) and done the windows and door handles too. I was thinking satin or matt black, or is this TOO much? Does anyone have this combination already? How does it look? And dipping them carbon - awesome, or tacky? Show me your black zeds with interesting wheels!

Well - thanks to Ewen my engine's being delivered next week and should be fitted before the weekend by a local garage - I'll post some pics if anyone's interested as the work gets carried out...!

Sounds EXACTLY like what I had - check the oil or just get it changed now!!!!

No leak...no patches on the drive...complete mystery as I don't think the DE burns oil as a rule? Regardless, Ewen has hooked me up with a new engine which will hopefully be transplanted in the next couple of weeks!!! I'll try and get pics etc. on here as the work progresses...

For reasons unknown to me, my Z has suddenly lost most of its oil and virtually dried out with no warning lights whatsoever- and the garage reckons it would be most cost effective to get a new lump in it as opposed to fixing it. Crank bearings are just the beginning of my problems... It's a 2003 model DE. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone who can supply me with an engine fit for purpose? The car will drive (for now) so I can get it to someone reasonably close...but it's remaining miles are limited! Glad of ANY help anyone can offer...I'm desperate!

Now my centre pipe has snapped, I'm looking at replacing everything back from the y-pipe for a nicer system - currently deciding between the Cobra and the Scorpion systems for around the £400 mark. Couple of questions though - A lot of ebay sellers claim free postage- has anyone had any experience of buying these from eBay as opposed to a reputable seller? Or am I better going with a firm known to the forum? Do any offer free delivery? Do these things generally come WITH the necessary gaskets? My emissions will be unaffected come MOT time, right? Appreciate any advice from traders or customers alike
