My best guess is valve seals...once the initial puff if smoke is cleared subsequent starts produce none....leave her overnight and it's back.

SO I've started getting a puff of smoke on startup combined with a bit of stuttering- not when I turn the key, but the first 3-4 throttle blips the car falters and a bit of smoke -after that she drives fine. Its a 03 DE at 105k miles but the engine was swapped and only has around 45k on it. Feels too soon for rings or valve seals, any ideas on likely cause?

You got pics of yours as reference? I'm doing it purely because I love the wide look, and I like the look of arches 'added on' so wouldn't go the rolling route you describe. And yeah I'm in the market for wheels and tyres to match, I love the look of deep dish wheels too but they're proving hard to find as well!

I'm wanting to go wide-arch on the Z but am struggling to find aftermarket over-arches or whatever you want to call them - can anyone recommend a supplier/product that ships to UK? If it helps, I'm leaving bumpers standard, it's just the arches I need...

Each to their own I guess...! I actually love that 'bolted-on' look with the visible bolts!

Been entertaining this idea for a while but this post just nailed what I want to go for - I have a few questions - Where's everybody buying their wheels? I love some of the stuff on Driftworks, any other good stores? If I want staggered, with a deeper dish at the back, do I need spacers at the front? Or does this depend on the amount the arches stick out - do the rear arches need to be bigger for that look? And finally - where can I get arches like that which suit the original bumpers?

Andy when you fitted this bumper what did you do for the gap between the under tray and the bumper? did you just remove it or how did you extend it? anyone else with experience feel free to chirp in with suggestions/advise too I had NO undertray whilst I was running this bumper - I think it was a good move in the end, if it had been stiffened by an undertray then the bumper would have lasted even less time than it did...!

It came with trhe canards on it already - the one I picked from the website didn't! So yeah I think they altered it slightly...no drama as I kinda like them anyway. Car got even MORE looks when I ran this bumper :D

As the title suggests, bought this a few months ago but the speed bumps around my neighborhood are slowly destroying it... I've tried to picture the damage best I can. Someone with bodywork skills can definitely save this I reckon, damage is a vertical split at the fron, small crack on wheel arch and the 'chin' needs some fixing too. Anyone want a cheap bumper/project?

I WAS lowered 30mm - raised the car back to stock as it was terrible on uneven ground and speedbumps, but it didn't help much...

I bought the SPEC R-2 from Tarmac. Fitment -excellent, bolted straight on. HOWEVER - I've removed it and will be selling it as damaged on here soon as it is NOT speed-bump friendly, especially in Chesterfield. Gone back to standard now.

Looking for a set of eyelids - I've had CF and fibreglass pairs in the past but they never seem to match the curve of the headlight and peel away at the top and bottom after a short while. Can anyone recommend a good source?

They stated it was because she hadn't got enough experience in modified cars. The Z is my first modified car too. She's had a Golf GTi but nothing else of that ilk.

Currently with AF (because modified) but they won't let me add my girlfriend to the policy... Anyone else been in this situation, and how did you resolve it? I can't be the ONLY one with a girlfriend and a modified car?
