  1. It looks like a plastic shell, and there is a single wire on it. You can see where it was mounted on to the alternator though by the metal bracket that connected to a bolt.
  2. Thanks mate. That was a thought, but I'm not getting any battery warning lights on the dash or anything.
  3. Wow how did I manage that! Sorry Pal. Will repost in the right section
  4. Just noticed this dangling down when doing an oil change... looks like it had been knocked off a mounting on the alternator, and the wire goes up to the black cable on the top? I've tie-wrapped it for now but looks like it could do with being replaced.. Ta, Adrian
  5. I've not heard of any adverse effects. Give this a watch too
  6. It's this one (middle top connector): Full size: https://i.imgur.com/5sIJ0PZ.jpg Like I say though, that was just the passenger side. My light is off now when I gave all the wires a wiggle and reset it..
  7. Hi guys, I had my Asteroid Smart in my last car and I'd like to fit it in to the 350z - however I can't seem to find the cable I need for the steering wheel controls. Any ideas? Ta Adrian
  8. Thanks guys that sorted it 😃 I did notice under the passenger seat there was a white connection block in the middle with nothing plugged in? Any ideas what that is for? It's plugged in on the drivers side. Ta
  9. Nice site mate. +1 on the music though, perhaps add a mute button that is on by default? Then at least people can turn it on if they want to listen
  10. Welcome mate. Car looks nice! The chaps here are really friendly and helpful, be sure to hang around
  11. Sweet. Thanks guys will give that a go later
  12. Hiya mate, gave that a go and it made no difference. Do I need to reset the light as well?
  13. Yet another bloody light on the dash!! The airbag light started flashing on the dash this morning. I assume this will show up as an error code for me to look up? Over the weekend I fitted my CG lock, and also did a spark plug change. Could these have affected it? It also rained a LOT last night, I'm wondering if water worked its way in somewhere? Thanks, Adrian
  14. Can't believe how clean that is. Good job!
  15. Ah right I see. I thought the interval seemed quite long! In which case, if I get some standard plugs, what will the service interval become? Thanks, Adrian
  16. Hi guys, Apologies if this has been answered before but I've struggled with the search and googling.. What and where can I get some spark plugs that would be ideal for a remap? I can see the usual stuff on eurocarparts but if what I've read is correct I should be getting the NGK Iridium ones? If so where can I buy these on the weekend (i.e. not online). Thanks Adrian Edit: These are iridium - are they any good? Anyone used them? http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Nissan_350Z_3.5_2004/p/car-parts/engine-parts/ignition1/spark-plug/?408776950&1&178c3ced0f630e9d2b490e24d2ee453d241e30e3&000301
  17. Sweet. I tried the ABS and it seems to be working OK. I think the ABS/TCS lights came on when I tried plugging in the OBD reader actually. Weird that it doesn't work for me though, as it's worked in other cars... maybe it's broken! I'm just south of Leeds. Updated my profile
  18. Cheers guys. Yes the number plate is interesting. WPF is a programming technology I've worked with, so even better.... The wheels are 19" Dotz Hanzo: http://www.rimstyle.com/alloywheels/wheel/index.html?wheel=dotz_hanzo_mbpo&colour=matt_black_satin_black_polished They're not normally my cup of tea those style, but I think they look amazing on the zed!
  19. Hey guys, Thought I'd post a few pictures up of my first zed Got some decent mods on it, and looking at getting it mapped soon! Injen air intake with kinetix upper plenum Borla high flow headers High flow cats HKS full stainless exhaust titanium tips Engine grounding kit 19" Dotz Hanzo wheels Nismo Spoiler Carbon fibre front splitter & rear dffuser Cheers, Adrian
  20. Went for a drive again tonight and the light came back on, got the following: P0139 - HO2S12 Slow Response P0159 - HO2S22 Slow Response P1146 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 Minimum Voltage Monitoring Bank 1 Definitely sounds exhaust related then? Think it's safe to drive for the weekend? I'm still a bit worried to drive it until I get it mapped!
  21. Hi guys, That's good about the unknown error! Went for a drive last night and the CEL didn't turn back on, but will have another look tonight. Just popped into RS tuning and they seem to be on the same line as you guys so I think I'll get it in to them for a remap after I've sorted the service. The tyres are 255/35/19 and 285/35/19. Thanks guys, Adrian
