The IPDM unit can get corrosion damage from water ingress and give symptoms like that it would be worth checking it. New units are around £400.

The Cosworth filters are paper element so cannot be washed. HKS is foam type so can be washed.. jet wash is a bit too harsh like!! Fairy liquid and warm water does the trick

The DE engines cars all run a single air filter, the later HR cars run a twin inlet setup so two air filters. We have HKS and Cosworth in stock for both setups

You are still thinking about it WAY too much! Just buy any of these panels filters, HKS, PiperX, K&N or cosworth... I live for overthinking! Especially with stuff I don't know about When different brands make essentially the same product, I usually know which is better or just which brand I prefer. I would say there is nothing wrong with either of those filters but the HKS filters are certainly a proven product and seem to very popular.
