  1. Good idea. Not 100% my foretay this kinda thing but following some further research today I am putting a circuit diagram together for some feedback on here which I hope will do the trick. Any suggestions as a source of good quality LEDs
  2. Apparently "correct me if wrong" your only allowed to have a single set of indicators on the front and side and they have to be a minimum height from the ground. Using the reflectors as indications would put them too low and result in your having two sets of indications on the front. Tempted to give it a go anyway but don't want to have to take them out and do it again....
  3. Some research later and this appears to be an MOT failure if I did this... Thoughts anyone? Even if it is I am still going ahead with normal reflector conversion
  4. Hi all, So I have decided to build the above myself "have a go" more fun and cheaper than buying some of the ones i have seen on ebay, anyway I am actually going to take a slightly different approach to others in that I am going to try "i may fail" and install both white and orange LEDs so that the reflectors come on with side lights but also act as indicators. I have been taking a look at the build thread on here (http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/64303-how-to-create-led-bumper-reflectors/) which has been really helpful and am pulling a materials list together and plan a trip to maplin later today/tomorrow. I was just wondering Can any of you recommend what LED's to use? I did find a thread a week ago discussing this but for the life of me i cannot find it, been searching for a while now and thought i would ask. Thanks Stephen
  5. Sorry I didn't see it.. Feel free to delete mods.

  8. +1. I love cars, honestly all cars, everything has its own merits but it would have to be something seriously special to get that style of cleaning! Something special like our Zeds

Always heard ppl say Avons are cheap and nasty but you both seem happy it will be replacing all 4 before she goes back on the road and had discounted these but It seems that are not too bad how do they stack up on price and in compareison to others
  11. I would offer but after my attempt at mine i have been told mine is far too "camp" so I am trying to make mine more butch. Lol it was my first sig good luck getting one.
  12. Well the passenger door switch surround came out great... Gonna re-do the drivers side before i giveup and get it dipped
  13. Excellent timing and great price!! Zed going in the body shop soon to paint the frontbumper, will get this fitted and painted at the same time. I will have one!! Thanks ste
  14. Yeah getting my centre console dipped. Was gonna do my switch myself, one more try and if not dipping it is
  15. Thanks everyone. It was applied in thin coats did about 3 "maybe too many" TBH never used plastikote before so I guess it's a learning curve. Was expecting an end result like my wiper arms but I guess I used normal paint on them. Gonna strip it down and start again and if that fails they are getting dipped!!
  16. I 2nd it not liking being sanded however i am sure i read a thread on here where someone did... TBH, the piece in the pic is still peeling when you pick it... Not looked at the other one yet that i painted with a coat of black as its still in the garage but i am tempted to rub this right down and start again but next time not bother sanding
  17. See above post from Clark Motorsport on Yuasa... :scare: Didn't see that, thanks.. Trust me to pick a lemon, O well fingers crossed the one i have will be fine if not it does have 3 years warrantee.... "cough"
  18. just replaced my battery with a Yuasa YBX 5005 65Ah 55A slightly worried no one recommend getting one above That said it seems to be doing the job for me P.S. 2.5k Miles road trip WOW must of had a blast, i did a south of France trip a few years back loads of fun !!!
  19. Hi all, I had a go at doing my switch covers as they had a good few scuffs and scratches however its gone a little wrong and I need some pointers/help. Both sides where sanded down and washed came out smooth as a baby bottom as was happy with the result so moved on to primer I use plasti-kote primer and applied as directed, leaving time in between coats then i took it in the house to sand down ready for painting "was doing them in my garage" A good 40mins was left after last coat before i touched them, when i started to sand it down using 1200 wet/dry some of the paint was pealing off rather than it going into a dust as you would expect i also caught my finger on a few parts and the primer came off completely, the drivers side wasnt too bad so i decided to give it a coat of black and its drying now will see how it comes out... Here are some pics "sorry they are big", any ideas why this has happened, i am wondering if the paint didnt dry fully? also i suspect i have to sand it back down and start again what ya think?
  20. It's all in the prep, if you sand it down good and clean do plenty of primer base coats sanding them as you go then a few coats of black you should be good. I used almost a full can of primer and paint doing mine as I wanted a thick coat.
  21. I wouldn't as the OEM look isnt that way... but i guess if you wanted nothing stopping you
