  1. Good response so far! I will have a list of everything available for the end of next week. Obviously have instruction manuals to draft up this weekend and then I can produce the full options package complete with prices. Looking forward to it!
  2. No problems mate, should be fully clear in about a week.
  3. Far too shallow on entry coupled with too quick an entry speed, lucky boy!
  4. Alreet! You can stick with the OEM amp but the improvements are marginal. To be honest if you are wanting improved sound quality then replacing the stock speakers with cheap aftermarket speakers through the OEM amp won't give you the end product you desire also. It's all about finding a balance. First of all, what type of budget are you working with and I can try to point you in the right direction.
  5. Christ......these are bloody lovely! Anyone wanna buy my Rotas?
  6. Mine is decatted and no.....it pops and bangs like crazy but flame it does not.
  7. Cheers mate, not long till Japfest now so folks will get to see the prototype in the flesh. Hopefully that will generate some interest....
  8. Also, subs can be put facing the other way, it is all dependable upon the type of sub you are putting in. Mine is a Hertz HX 250 competition 10" sub so the magnet is ludicrously massive. Most normal subs magnets have a smaller depth and diameter.
  9. That Alfa did my favourite manoeuvre ever......the pull out at the wrong moment then stop for no good reason other than to let the oncoming car send you to your grave manoeuvre. WHY STOP!!!!!!!! KEEP YOUR FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR YOU INCOMPETENT FOOL!
  10. See that type of car that pulled out into the path of the Lambo? That type of car really boils my pish! All the drivers are the same careless, hesitant, uncoordinated balloons no matter where you go in the world.
  11. The magnet on my sub was just too big to fit in the other way, it's obscenely big! To be fair I never really use the boot as the parcel shelf or footwell gets used for shopping. But as Ballistic says, if needs must then a couple of bars can be put across as protection.
  12. I find most ladies would agree with me that 10" inches is more than enough. Ooerr! There is a video somewhere on the interweb that suggests otherwise, I'll let you find it yourself but it beggars belief!
  13. Oh also the under struts are only suitable for 10" subs.
  14. I can do pretty much any install but as a shippable product the under strut is the most practical. I can put holes in for 2 subs if needed, the customer just needs to specify their needs. I know this isn't a get rich quick scheme, more a hobby that I've always played about with and if I can earn a few beer tokens doing something I enjoy then game on! If there are any North East members who want a proper boot build like the top image then by all means get in touch and we can work something out.
  15. Cheers mate! This was the prototype too and it sounds as good as it looks. The if you want it to then the bass rattles your chest bones.
  16. Yeah I messaged Lexx already, this is my market research session before I take the plunge!
  17. I am offering the 3 options with 3 different prices, I just wanted to see if people wanted to register their interest first before I set up as a trader on here.
  18. Alreet me bonny bairns! I am considering taking my MDF cutting skills to market, but before I take the plunge I would like to see if it would be worthwhile doing. I have 3 options that I would consider doing immediately and they would be: 1. Operation flatpack - I provide the enclosure pre-cut, pre-drilled and countersunk. Screws and terminals are provided and a fool proof user guide too. This is the cheapest and quickest turnaround option, also the most satisfying for you as you get to build something of your own and feel a sense of achievement when you fit it. Glue, silicone, carpet and cabling isn't included but can be put into the package for an extra cost. 2. Operation upholster it yourself - this option is for the less ambitious carpenter, but you still want to put your own touch on it, right? With the ever growing choice of trim styles and types available nowadays, some people just aren't satisfied with black carpet. So this option allows you to decorate your enclosure whichever way you please! The box comes pre-built, sealed and with a wired terminal so that you can just drop your sub straight in. 3. Operation VIP - this is for the customer who has far too much on their hands, the guy/girl who just wants to whack it straight in with no foreplay. Basically the full enclosure built, sealed, carpeted, terminals and internal wiring. The most expensive option but most convenient. I will be making these in my spare time and the turnaround time from order is expected to be 1-2 weeks depending on what package you go for. Anyways, in case you didn't see the quality of the fit in the "What Mod Have You Done Today" thread, here is another picture.... So roll up guys! Who fancies it? Peace Phil
  19. http://bit.ly/1h0NT0Y The question is.....being from China, are they any good or will my wheels fall off when taking a long right hander at 100mph and kill me dead?
  20. I'm not using the standard sub and that is exactly the place I was thinking. It looks untidy where it is but it'll do for the time being, have little spare time so have to fit my projects into 1 hour slots here and there. Japfest is still a good while away for me to pull my finger out though, it will be immaculate come 10th May!
  21. Not wanting to cack on your parade Lyndz but I've been working on a little project of my own.....and I just finished it about 5 minutes ago! The amp is probably not going to stay there but if it is then I will be conduiting the cables as they look a bit messy at present. I am considering making these to sell on the forum, either as a flat pack for you to build yourself or as a complete unit minus the carpet. Anyone interested?
  22. So in the top car park I spotted a black 370z this morning and there is also a gunmetal JDM one inside the main car park. Chances are they aren't members but just on the off chance........I've spotted you!
