  1. Looking good! I need to do the same, if I can time it well around the random rain showers.
  2. Nice write up, you've certainly been splashing the cash on your Z. The alloy refurb looks great, almost chrome?
  3. Great colour, always nice to see the results of a bit of elbow grease. Looks fantastic.
  4. Attempted this after work last night and was surprised at just how easy it was to do. Just under 2 hours it took me to strip out the headunit, solder the cable in, put it all back together and turn on the ignition easy. The sound quality compared to the FM modulator I was using is undeniably better. And best of all, the OEM look is maintained.
  5. I'm interested in one of these as I too use my iPhone 4S with Spotify, but I think it isn't a supported app. Though I read somewhere you can 'hack' it to show more apps?
  6. What a fantastic collection of cars! You'd be mad to turn down an invitation like that.
  7. What sort of kicks people get from this I do not know, it just causes anger and frustration in others! Reading these posts about members cars being damaged is making me more paranoid about my own!
  8. Sickening I know exactly how you feel, I'd be the same if someone had done that to my pride and joy. Hope something positive comes out of it for you.
  9. Could it be a tracker? They're supposed to be more hidden than that!
  10. Thanks for the tip rabbitstew, I had a bit of a hunt but it seems that CD based systems were just as popular as I thought...not at all! Think I will have to stick with iPhone until I decide on a double din.
  11. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome Wasso, I hope to be attending a Mids meet sometime in the future would be good to get some 'zeditus' inspiration even though theres plenty to be had just browsing these forums! Jetset, thanks for the info on BirdView, I figured as much, haven't seen a CD based nav system probably ever so I guess it will have to be a new double din for me. nissan_pip, good to hear the recommendation for Cougar Store, its great to know theres a Z specialist not far from my front door who can be trusted.
  12. I'm just down the road from you CS...I'm near Hinckley. So its likely I will be dropping by in the not too distant future
  13. Hi all, I've been snooping around the forums for a while until I finally got my Z last Thursday, since then I've been enjoying it (and the tank of V-Power Nitro+) far too much to actually come online! I've been after a decent Z for quite a while now and ones I've been to see in the past I was far too slow and they were usually gone. This one popped up and was advertised before it was even prepped for sale..I was straight over there the day after, test drove it and put a deposit down there and then. It's a little bit of a power increase over my previous runaround, a 1.0 Nissan Micra! 18,000 miles, one owner from new and pretty damn tidy. It's obviously been used as a second car, and been sat under a cover on someones driveway, but I'm absolutely delighted with it. The CD-ROM Birdview sat nav is a little bit 'Nintendo' but it does the job. Does anyone know about upgrading these? Mod plans at the moment include iPod enabled double din, new plugs and air filter under the bonnet, fresh boots for the front and possible exhaust change but many more ideas are floating around my head. Anyway, hello
