1. Update on the times, Weather wasn't great at periods for the Zeds, so possibly a little bit of bullying on my part Although AMT got his fastest time so the weather couldn't have been too bad all day My car vs AMT 350z HR(stock with exhaust) My car vs McQueezy 370z nismo MK2 (he had literally no tread on the back tyres which will explain the result)
2. I give lessons in my spare time, I had an Ibanez S470 dxqm with the floyd rose a few years back, nice guitar but got rid of it. Currently have: Mexican Fender Strat - White with maple neck and changed the scrath plate to a pearl white marble effect PRS SE Tremonti - white (let the students use this one ) Schecter Hellraiser Solo 6 - Black cherry finish with EMG's (Love this thing) Got a Marshall half stack MG100FX ( not the best but had it for years) I was using a Boss GT10 up until last week but I just got the Boss GT100, not used it long enough to say too much but initial impressions are very good!
3. thought you managed a 14.6? Nope 14.8 dude Time to sort that out on Sunday IFFFFFFF I make it up lol You know you will

5. Exactly my point, Chubby Ninja run 14.1 in his DE with only an exhaust before he S/C it. Tyres, conditions, driver make a massive difference.
6. thought you managed a 14.6? I done a 14.6 in that car when I took it up! The 1/4 mile times for both 350/370 vary so much even for just standard cars!
7. Is it the latest model ST? I took a shot of my mates ST-3 when he got it, bone dry day and this thing was fighting you the moment you pressed the loud pedal and that was stock! Bone dry day, decent tyres, small burnout before the launch, should be in with a shout.
8. If its standard then you will be high 14s, the ones running mental power do high 13s easily
9. Hi guys/gals, I am going to the 1/4 mile on Sunday for the first time in 2 years, thought I would put a thread up to see what peoples best times are in whatever they have taken up the strip!! 1. 09 A5 3.0tdi remapped 290bhp/460ftlb - 14.15 2. 55 350z DE std with stretched rear tyres - 14.6 First time up with my TTs which is standard minus a bypass pipe fitted, not sure what time to expect. We have a De/HR and a 370 nismo going, so I will put in our best times on Sunday night. What about you?
10. Carpark just off High Street, Sunset with Rays and a BGW, Tarmac has a lot to answer for
11. +1 on Admiral, I was 22 when I first got mine. I think I was about £1K with only 2 years NCB but this was nearly 5 years ago. Where you live is a big factor on the price.
12. What about a subaru shirt, with a subaru hat and diadora trainers ?
13. I found a dead bird inbetween the rad and grill when I was cleaning the enginer bay I didn't know it was a dead bird until I picked it out by its beak and then had to amputate my hand on the spot!
14. The legs can fit in TT's, you just can't sit up straight You look like you're practicing for Michael Jackson Thriller video!
15. I had a Zed for 2 years and now have a TTs (Auto), few cars in-between. The hairdresser comments will always come and fairly justified as 90% of TT drivers are women! The other 5% are guys driving their misses cars, 3% own a TTs and 2 % a TTRS That’s an exact science for anyone who doesn’t believe me. I would recommend getting the mk2, and try his best to get the s-tronic. It really is something else. The 3.2V6 will probably be the only way of getting the Quattro at that price range, the 2.0TFSI are fwd. I’m not sure if the Quattro in the standard TT’s is the same as the TTS but the understeer comment that gets flung at all Audi’s isn’t justified in the TT. There is a relative amount of play in the back axel that keeps things interesting. I had an A5 3.0tdi which would nose dive no matter what you done. The TTs isn’t going to swing its back end out like the 350 but you do get that light back end feel you get with the 350 when taking a corner at speed.
16. Silver 350z modded to look like a 380rs in Asda newmains.
17. 1st thing on the list Not a massive fan of the wheels, will probably get Rotors early doors.
18. Thanks for trying to sort out the pictures, its been awhile since I took photos from Photobucket
19. Ill remove it from my sig when you compensate me for the terrible trade in value I got Lol, I'll let you tear her down the Crail strip again as a trade off....... just for old times sake lol A few months using the s tronic box, I probably wont even be able to drive a 350z
20. Ill remove it from my sig when you compensate me for the terrible trade in value I got
21. I thought I would give everyone an update now that I am going to be picking my new car up on Saturday. Unfortunately it couldn’t have went any worse for me getting my dream car. All I had to do was get the wedding out the way, then I was allowed to purchase the new car. Sadly, 3 weeks before the wedding this happened : Heading to work one Monday morning, pickup truck in-front of me pulled out the roundabout(well started too), I looked right and saw there was space for me to go. As you have probably guessed, the pickup truck put the anchors on and I went straight into the back of him. Zero damage on his car, but the toe bar done all the damage to mine. After a lot of stress with the insurance company trying to get it sorted before the honeymoon, they confirmed it was a write off. £6.5K damage was the bill quoted. Luckily I had insured all my modifications, so I managed to get just about the exact money I paid for the car 1 ½ years ago. The worst part has yet to come! I had my heart set on an XKR, I had been and drove one and done all my digging. Now with the increased insurance and everything else that comes along with it, I have been priced out. My budget was slashed to £14K which was a sore one. I was speaking to a guy about buying his really modified 370z which was nice, after checking the insurance and adding all the mods, it was absolutely ridiculous. So that was a no go. I then got my heart set on an S5, but 14K was only getting a 07 – 58 with a lot of miles and poverty spec. Any ones with low miles in my price range hadn’t had much maintenance done, having had the A5 I do know the bills are far from cheap. I eventually settled on a TTs, pretty big come down from an XKR but it does have a lot of ticks for me. The plan was always to let the misses drive the “nicer†car but this isn’t bad on fuel and a decent daily so I am just going to take it to work. The one I got also has a lot of extras, s tronic, mag ride, extended leather pack etc. Not the monster I was planning on but it will have to do
22. You decided on what your getting yet Kris ?? The XKR is looking to be the winner mate, she likes it and has bought into the idea now Just hoping the winter months take a good chunk into their prices. Wouldn't mind a C63 like the OPs but the cheapest I saw was still north of £23K!
23. I used a little trick of the trade to warm her round though Showed her a brand-spank white (she loves white cars) XKR and pretended it was in our budget I think there is still work to be done but at least thats an option.
24. Ooooo errr. ..gotta love that Kris The XKR actually has no real worries other than an A/C issue. Me thinks I shall be dropping some hints to the boss! I love the XKR mate, more so the early 00's to 05 models, timeless styling in my eyes and I will be adding one to the collection next year hopefully. The later models are gorgeous too but out of my budget atm I showed the boss a really nice black one.... resounding no I dont know if I would consider using it as a daily.
