  1. Problem solved. Thanks Mr Cougar Sports...........
  2. Morning everyone. I recently put up a message regarding my exhaust failure last week. I was going to have it welded, but have decided to upgrade. Im looking at either a Cobra resonated or a Scorpion system (back and mid). Im not after a seriously loud system and my current budget reflects the 2 systems that ive mentioned. The most important issue is getting it sorted asap as my pride and joy currently sounds like a Tiger tank. Thanks in advance . Jonny
  3. Sell it now my friend, because its only a matter of time before Zeditus kicks in. You will have to sell your house, steal from your kids (if you have any), rob banks, sell your body, and god forbid it stop drinking lager. Welcome along my friend.... jonny
  4. Powder coating wins every time my friend. Ive re built Lambretta scooters and always powder coated. They will last, but paint does give a finer finish !!!! Obviously the bodywork needs paint but the wheels take all the punishment, so powder coat.... Ta jonny
  5. Pete, I caught the local polish kids nicking mine about 2 weeks ago. Well miffed but I got them back. Ive since robbed 4 plastic ones from my postie van and stuck them on. Result !! If you want plastic caps, give my a shout, theirs 30 odd vans in the yard
  6. Bugger. This is a genuine problem I need to solve, and now ive a feeling its going to turn into a fruit fest....
  7. Loving the DIY job Nick. I will probably look at upgrading myself, but £400 at the moment would mean I cant have any Stellas for a while.
  8. Good day folks. Firstly can I apologise but im not really mechanically minded, so here we go.. On Thursday I noticed that my exhaust sounded deeper !! I checked it yesterday after work to find that the single pipe coming from the back box has popped out of its clamp !! Ive had a garage look at it this morning and noticed the piped is "flanged" and had indeed popped out of the bracket which connects it to the mid section. Now the chap at the garage said he could have a go at welding the pipe back onto the bracket. I don't know if this failure is common and also whether its a good idea to weld it or just replace the back box...Your advice would be great. I would defo be on the lookout for a replacement back box if I had to get one, but cant stretch to that much money, so if anyone has a decent unit they may sell, please pm me. Thanks in advance Jonny (car in question UK late 2006 GT)
  9. Bluestuff NDX pads on mine (were on when I bought the car). Not mega expensive and to be honest they are the best pads ive had on a car. Jonny
  10. Second set look good fellow welsh zed owner. Take your time looking though, because theirs loads out there. This bloody Zeditus will doo your head in my friend. Jonny
  11. I totally agree with this. God almighty....... Lol, love you signature, how about letting others live there dream! Bizarre post considering you've only posted 94 posts! Stuart. Don't know yeh...your probably a decent fellow, but what was wrong with just telling us what you bought in the first place... that was my point, by making everyone start guessing dragged it on a tad. Enjoy your new motor. 95 posts now.. jonny
  12. I totally agree with this. God almighty.......
  13. Cant wait to see you bombing it down the railway tracks. Nice
  14. best colour... same year as my baby...but please bin them wheels. you need a bit of chrome to set off the car my friend. jonny
  15. Hello people. Im looking to sell a brand new set of side diffs/steps that I recently bought from Tarmac (£175). Reason for sale is that when I got my Zed it had Mud flaps fitted and the diffusers cant be fitted with them on. I was going to try and modify the diffs to fit, but did not want to bugger it up as I have not got £175 to waste. So ive decieded to keep my mud flaps (as they have been painted to match) because I like the overall look with them on.... Ive posted a quick picture, but Tarmac has plenty of close ups on his thread and in the styling section you will find pics of these items on various Zeds. Im looking for £155 Plus £10 p&p. Only one diff had been taken from the original box to try on my car, so they are in mint condition. Please PM me if YOU WANT TO BUY.... Cheers Jonny
  16. Sad story my friend. Never met you but totally understand you feelings. However, your a young guy, believe me, their is somebody out their for you !!! It may take time, but don't let your last relationship cloud your life. I gave up on things for a hell of a long time for exactly the same reasons that you are feeling at the moment. Ive now got a little cracker, although im taking things a my pace. Not trying to change your mind because I don't no you, but your well written message and more importantly your depression is really worrying. Hope things work out and if your ever in North Wales, give me a PM and we can hammer a few tins of Stella. Jonny
  17. I've had my 350 for about 3 months now and thought it was time I put up some pictures. It could do with a clean, but my sister was up with all her kit (she's a professional photographer) and I couldn't pass up the chance to get some decent photos! I did this myself, well chuffed!
  18. Gudzy mate, what are you doing !!!! The Finichi look 100 times better than your new ones fella. Swap em back over. (ive got Finichi on my zed, im mega happy). Car still looks lovely though. Jonny :scare:
  19. Afternoon my friends. Ive bought a JDM rear diffuser for my baby and I have found a local paint manufacturer who can mix me a few cans of Ebisu aerosols, so Im going to spray the diff myself. Now the company selling the diffuser have said that its easy to fit (because it has the built in lugs, which takes the bonding glue), but do recommend a body shop. Now that's where you guys come in.. Has anyone fitted one?, if so any tips, plus a good quality bonding glue ???? Hope you can help. Jonny
  20. just ordered some..... bet you their well pi**e& off with us lot.
  21. Feel for you mate... Ive a feeling you were correct in saying the garage new about it and just reset it, hoping it would last over a month. Do yourself a favour and google the garage to check on their history (hopefully you have done this anyway). If you feel that they fixed it again a tad quickly, please get yourself an RAC/AA full inspection done and go back to them. I no this is an extra cost, but it will at least give you an independent view on your pride and joy. I hope it works out mate and don't forget the car loves you !!!!! Its the garage that's nasty. Please update us. Jonny
  22. Of course you can... Just ask 14N to knock you something up...
