  4. Do t want to know what wood you're touching in your rocker seat Sorry dude couldn't resist. Well done on the ingenuity Not going to lie, I hadn't even thought about it and it's far more luck than judgement that it doesn't topple over backwards
  5. Funnily enough it's actually ok! I sat on it for a bit because I was worried it would be a death trap haven't fallen over yet *touches wood*
  6. Over the weekend I took two perfectly good chairs and made one ok one out of them The chairs: The chair:
  7. I've been googling it myself . Problem seems to be if you need planning permission or not as technically you're changing the structure if anything runs through where you want it. Apparently you'd never get planning permission as the eu have banned new ones as so many people got gassed under them by running the engine over them. Not sure on the accuracy on either point though as it is only forums I've found information on so far
  8. You can get a four poster ramp for around 2k attach the roof to it if headroom is an issue and the roof will raise up with it
  9. It's hard to see in the picture, but that used to be an organic clutch, not a paddle one My gearbox looked like this:
  10. Ethernet is a huge plus! I get 4g in mine so Google help is available haha. Plenty of space outside. Glass table until I get a workbench built at the back Tools Storage space and the Oh no chair
  11. There's a company called wrapcube near london, I follow them on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/WrapCube?fref=ts) because their work is so amazing. I've seen one of their wraps in the flesh and you'd genuinely not know it was a wrap. They take the doors off so they can do the shuts in one piece etc. I imagine they're crazy money, but they're perfect! found some pics As everyone says, you get what you pay for
  12. Yeah, it looks smart and practical. I also need to move my tool chest as it's right at the back and as I can't get the car in it's a right pain to walk in and out the whole time. I do have one thing you don't though Keyser, I have an armchair to sit in when something goes wrong. It's my "I buggered something up and need to calm down" chair I stayed at the inlaws house last night so couldn't take any pics of my garage
  13. Maybe a silly question, but have you ever kept your spanners in a tool chest? Currently I have a draw of spanners which move around a lot, so racking them like this seems like a good idea
  14. So according to this thread, the fact I can see my floor is an achievement
  15. I'd like a warehouse with a nice 3 bed apartment upstairs inside as a sort of mezzanine
  16. That's so cool! Presuimg that isn't your one? Although surely two lifts would be better for the top layer? Then you don't have to move two cars out to get one down? To be honest, if I had enough money to have that issue, I wouldn't complain either way

    Y piece

    oh ok, ignore that then
  18. My problem, is that I can get the car in, but the doors are so long I can't get out

couldn't you get the centre box chopped out? It wouldn't be more than £70 I'd say and would release a bit more noise without it being ridiculous?
  20. I was thinking he added the side door, because you can see a lintel where it would fit in the "before" picture
  21. I think you're right Durk, it's the opposite way round to the first picture
  22. No! mine is small, with an uneven concete floor, no power and a slightly broken door so it slams
  23. I know there's a few of us who have ongoing projects to make our garages better, so I thought we could have a thread for those lucky few to show off their awesome spaces. Bragging is perfectly ok, before and after pictures are really good. Hints/tips and advice are encouraged I found this before and after on pistonheads: I'll take some pictures of mine when I get home
