  1. If you also tell them you're actually 42 and really you have 20 years NCB, it'll be even cheaper still whilst also being no more illegal than your current fraud. Meh I'm secure now Got a job a few weeks later, just couldn't justify paying that much difference for being unemployed.
  2. It's got to be down to Post Codes, as 90% of the information you give them will be the same as everyone else. I'm 22 - (Renewal in January) 4 Years no claims - 900 a year. - No accidents etc. Funny thing is, when I had my golf, I was renewing my insurance, and the quote they offered me, I thought I'd get better else where. Rang around and everywhere was 1-2k more than I was already paying! So I thought, right I'll go back to admiral and say I'll accept the quote they offered me in writing. They then said we'll see if we can get it down a bit, lets go through details etc. Name, Address, Parking....Then the next question - Employment Status. At the time I was unemployed, so I said that. Go to the end of it, and he goes unfortunatly the quote has now gone up £800 more. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? Lets charge someone more for not having an income so I then said, okay, I'll just accept the quote you gave to me in writing. No, you can't do that. So I was stumped...I wasn't paying £800+ more this year for an extra no claims I just recieved. So I said unless you let me accept the orginial quote you gave me, I'll go elsewhere. So they basically said Bubi. Wasn't expecting that! Couple days later, rang up, said I got my old job back, and ended up getting the insurance a couple hundred pounds cheaper than there 1st quote. MAKES SENSE!
  3. Me too (Well, semi-retired) You can't be old enough ! The poor young boy has to go out to sea to work. So the slightest whiff of wind and he's grounded. He's so busy he's been to my place three time this year and he's in the North Lakes and I'm in North Wales so only 3 and 1/2 hour away. I make a cracking cup of tea though. I'll have you know I've done nearly 4 months work this year!! Including 3 days this quarter alone! It can't possibly go on forever eh? But being paid and not going to work is amazeballs. I'd recommend it to anyone Any chance of a possible for the word 'amzeballs'
  4. Thanks, just placed an order! Now Bow down to the Mighty 5k HP Zed!
  5. Got some SABelts in my garage that I removed from my golf the weekend. Passengers used to hate them! Always having to adjust them. Think I'll give them a miss this time round and hand them to my friend.
  6. It's just a style, personel preference. A lot of people do it with Saxo's, Golfs etc. Guessing it's just something thats not been done to a Z and the OP wants to see what it looks like. Some cars can pull it off, others are a no go!
  7. Aye think the OP is on about these.
  8. Polo/Golf but with the body kit, that could be a saxo or anything

  16. 90% of the time you will just be paying for the brand, Polo shirt with Fred Perry logo on it will sell for £50 more than a plain Polo Shirt from Primark. Custom exhaust you can have made up to your exact needs. Sound, tail pipes etc. The other thing I like about custom is, it's built for YOUR car. So no adjusting or modding to get it fitted, no knocks or odd noises. With the MK4 golf, the Miltek system was a popular choice however it was prone to the odd knocking noise underneath the car. However that is probably not the case with the zed, but just an example to the benefits of a custom. Price, I paid I think £450-£600 for a full cat back system. And I think the Miltek for the golf was way over £800+. So that was the price range I previously had. My car is booked in to talk about an exhaust on Tuesday with Powerflow. I'll update with more info.

  19. This right here! The day and age of fist fighting is gone. There will always be a high chance a knife is involved.
  20. Lube it up
  21. Bloody Cyclists Although that's the only time I wont over take them, is when an Island is coming just up. At the end of the day, the lorry didn't hit him or touch him. And in the video you see at some points the cyclist thinking he owns the road going from lane to lane cutting up the ford. He caused more traffic!
  22. I really should just fix it, every time I exit the car, I sit there feeding it back into position
  23. Haha, so I'm not the only one!
  24. Thought I'd see if anyone on here has some suggestions. Here at work we run virtual desktops through think clients off a Citrix server. We have a few different sites and my boss wants each site to have a Screen mounted on the wall to display a web browser showing stats, incoming calls, appointments etc. We have the web page setup etc. Now we'd prefer not to use a PC as we'd like to keep it neat and minimal to cables dangling down. And also there is the cost factor, the cheaper the better. (As it doesn't need to perform miracles just to display some stats) My current options are a couple of android Media Centres, that connect to the TV through HDMI. I can then download the Citrix App and run our desktop through that. If it's on the same network, if it has chrome, then we can just use the browser without the need of citrix. I just wanted to see if anyone has a similar setup and can recommend a product to use. We'd ideally like a Usb type stick, as it'd be small, simple and no cables. But a lot I have found have had some very poor reviews. Need to have Ethernet port, Pref Wifi. Mouse and Keyboard input. VGA/DVI/HDMI Output. App store - With access to citrix.
