  1. Well done with doing that, I never managed it with my 2010 coupe. The 2011 Roadster I’ve just got seems to have the Connect system
  2. And you got it to work on the nav screen? What year was your car? Thanks
  3. Just got an early 2011 roadster. can you advise on how I get a reversing camera to work on the nav system, which I believe is the Connect version. At a later date I would I’d like to get Apple Play so your advice on that would be welcome too. many thanks Neil
  4. And you got it to work on the nav screen? What year was your car? Thanks
  5. I know there was a kit for a 2011 roadster to link a reverse camera to the sat nav unit screen. Can you point me in the right direction?
  6. It really looks good, spotless and well cared for. My current car is the semi auto, which was brilliant, but I just fancied going back to a manual again. Front tyres are a bit shot but they will do for a year. Rears are Bridgestones which I read are not popular but we’ll see, at least there’s plenty of meat on those. Roofs works fine and no snags as far as I can tell. Comes with 6 months warranty and that covers roof and air con which I thought was good. Doesn't have a reverse cam but I will sort that at some point, at least with the 2011 sat nav can take a camera. It has the fluffy standard exhaust but I still have some short tails I might put on. I couldn’t keep my nice Invidia set up which was a sacrifice I had to make. What do you think, worth getting my ears chewed off by the memsahib?
  7. I’ve just bought another Z. My wife’s going to go nuts. Is there anywhere in the South East where I can get a bed for the night?. It seemed a good idea at the time - it still does! 🫣
  8. Hi I bought the Invidia Gemini with the two transverse silencers right at the back if you see what I mean. It’s good but just a tad quiet for me after the raspy res short tails. No I thought I would buy a used Y pipe and mid section and put them with the short tails on my current car so the new owner gets a bit of a thrill and put the complete Invidia system on the new car which will be a convertible so should sound ok in the car. The short tails were a bit loud on motorways. I’m assuming the Roadster has the same anchor points or can be adapted. Happy New Year. 👍🏻
  9. Thanks for sending this, I’ve replied to the ad. Much obliged.
  10. I’m looking for an OEM Y pipe and mid section in good used condition. I already have a set of short tails for the noisy end. I’m planning to sell 2010 GT but want to keep the new Invidia system I put on in the summer for next car. Hence need for the above. Thanks
  11. Hi Just a long shot, but did you sell the Cobra box and centre pipe advertised in 2021? Neil neilcollinswatercolours@gmail.com
  12. Hi Ian. Is the Y pipe for a 370z still available please? Neil neilcollinswatercolours@gmail.com
  13. Thank you. With help from a friend with a 370 it is sorted. The tapping the lock mechanism under the dash with a light hammer sorted it but it soon went back and then resisted the hammer treatment. Finding the magic pink wire going in to the lock mechanism and touching it to ground fixed it so I could move the car and get to the main fuze box by the battery. With ACC on I extracted the fuze. Ok now thanks.
  14. I think there is a shortage but because I only wanted one order they managed to locate it. I was relieved when it turned up.
  15. Well done with snapping up this bargain, I had already committed to ordering one from the US. Anyway, I ordered through VIP Motorsport who were very helpful and found two available in the US. I chose rolled stainless and the box arrived at my place exactly three weeks later.
  16. I posted this night but I can’t see any replies. Anyway, having recently read about the immobiliser problem on 2010 370s, and ignoring it, I have suddenly joined the ranks of those with cars that refuse to start. The problem started with the orange key light coming on and having changed the fob battery all seemed to be well until the following day when the car refused to start or turn on any of the acc equipment. I have read about a known problem with the steering lock which was the subject of a recall in the USA but not in the UK it seems. This can be a very expensive repair, but I gather from reading various posts that a swift tap with a small hammer can sometimes release the lock after which I should remove the offending fuse To stop the same thing happening again. Fixing things with hammers is right up my street but knowing that nothing ever goes according to plan I thought I would contact the forum for latest advice. thanks.
  17. A strange thread caught my eye a couple of weeks back about a known 370z steering lock fault identifiable by the orange key warning. Take out the fuze was the advice. I thought mine was ok but out of the blue, the key light came on so I changed the key battery and it was fine. However, now the car is stuck in my garage and doesn’t switch on and lock stays stuck whichever key I use. From what I read I need to give the mechanism a bit of a whack to try to release it. Then if it releases take out the fuze in ACC mode. I also read something about disconnecting the battery for a while but that seemed to have mixed results in terms of releasing the lock I take it Nissan might still fix it under warranty although being a 2010 car it is obviously well out of the period. ANY ADVICE BEFORE I SPEND SEVERAL HOURS OF FRUSTRATING FAILURE TOMORROW?
  18. Well I’ve bitten the bullet and gone for an Invidia Gemini. Found a good price at VIP Motorsport but I have to wait about four weeks for it to come from USA. Have a slight concern it may be a bit quiet after my short tails but better for the Memsahib on motorways. i will retain the short tails and see if anyone on here wants to buy them. Thanks for all the advice and photos
  19. I’m thinking of masking all the Z decals on my car in case anyone thinks I’m part of an invasion force.
  20. Yes that is an option, but at the moment I’m looking for a one-stop shop solution and sticking to a proven formula. Thanks
  21. Thanks for the feedback, very helpful. Invidia seems the answer.
  22. This is probably the most controversial topic on here because “one man’s meat” etc I’ve been waiting for the funds to change my 2010 370z exhaust system. At the moment it’s original but I got rid of the stock dustbin full of cotton wool and put Tarmac short tails on. Sounds good but I still want to do the whole catback system. Reading all the reviews and listening to videos usually identifies the one for me and then I see a bum review and it’s back to the drawing board. I want what most want, something throaty and fun but no drone on motorways at about £1.2k invidia Gemini is always a favourite, if you can get one. I thought the Cobra set up was good and British made with full guarantee but then I read it was “drone central”. Stolen, Ark, Miltek all quite a lot more money with mixed reports and Japspeed everyone seems to spit at. There is the HF Cats side of things but that’s more money and issues declaring it to insurer and re maps I suppose. Maybe another life time. One more thing while I think of it. The stock system has hanging rubber cotton reel things which I imagine suppress vibration. Why don’t any of the stainless sporty jobs offer these I wonder? All helpful comments welcome.
  23. That’s really helpful, thanks. Yes I have the short tails now, I like the fruity sound but it does boom and resonate so I want to get something of decent quality with good sound and less drone. I had a Cobra backend on my 350 which sounded good, but again a bit droney on a run. Invidia seems reasonable compared to the high end jobs Thanks again.
  24. Is there a 370z near Surrey / Kent border (Bromley) with a cat back Invidia Gemini exhaust system I could listen to? Mine is original system with Tarmac resonated tail pipes. I’m thinking of going Invidia now. Thanks
