  1. Well done on the deposit refund. There's plenty of good zeds out there, take your time and get the right one for you
  2. Now you're talking, got Motley Crue on at the moment
  3. seen a red 350 roadster about 11a.m in Llandudno junction by tesco
  4. I agree, walk away, it doesn't sound good at all and if they're unhelpful now then what is the after sales gonna be like if a problem arises later on? Like you said, you were happy to pay the extra for peace of mind from a dealer but this just has alarm bells all over it
  5. Welcome along, you'll love driving a 350, its an awesome ride. Must be gutted to see the T4 go though.I'm into Dubs too, got a T5, had many beetles an about to get a Samba. Dubs are good for cruising but there's nothing like being able to put your foot down and leave most things standing
  6. Welcome and sounds like you got a bargain at that price, you're gonna love driving it
  7. Blue 350 in old colwyn at 13:00
  8. Saw an 05 plate gunmetal 350 on m56 at 14:45 west bound by the Runcorn junction
  9. That's my point, they charge a fortune an makes ours look cheap
  10. I wish I was paid that! I've been in the building trade for 18 years, self employed for 10. I've literally built houses and can do nearly anything, I won't do gas and legally can't do fuse boxes. I only charge £100 a day, £50 for half day, materials on top. No charge for tools unless a specialist piece of equipment. Last laminate flooring job I did, which was quite complicated was £200, materials supplied. Get quotes or daily rates, if people charge more for weekend or evenings tell them to come in normal working hours or take a hike!
  11. Well on the bright side at least they'll keep the prices up for us!
  12. Welcome along. Just get one if you want one and wave to anyone that doesn't like it in the rear view mirror as you burn them off
  13. Hello and welcome, I'm just down the road in colwyn bay, just got my orange 350 a month ago and go to Llandudno quite often in it
  14. did you not sell it on Ebay the other week?
  15. spotted a silver 350 just by Llandudno Junction about 15.15 today, any of you fine people on a day out?
  16. Deffo complain about that, even if he was the boss he'd still be a contractor and that language is unacceptable to use to a member of public no matter what. And if he is just a worker the bosses wouldn't want that image associated with their company. Name and shame them. Alternatively carry a stun gun with you and shoot the next guy in the balls who talks to you like that!
  17. Take a deep breath and take your time. Ok you possibly may miss out on a bargain but if something is cheap then its usually for a reason. I clocked up over 1200 miles before getting something that I think was worth the asking price
  18. with the mileage on it a new clutch would be expected and from research you probably got an extra 40k out of it than expected. Hope you get it sorted

A golf sdi is group 4 insurance I think, does 50+ mpg on a run. Not very quick but will happily do 70 all day long and you'd get one for about £1100 with decent miles on the clock
  20. Welcome to the forum. I'd definitely recommend you looking at and having a drive of a Zed. I usually buy German and I'm into classic VW's, I've also owned tvr's. I've just got my first 350 and I'm chuffed to bits with it, the comfort and power is awesome
  21. it could be the missing link or maybe just chuck it in the recycling! But beware the universe may implode on itself if you do that!
  22. Oh and just to clarify! I was just pointing out how helpful people are on here. And no doubt as your post started out, as a 'heads up', you shared the bad experience you had so others can learn from it so big thumbs up to you
  23. I'm on a couple of forums due to different vehicles i/have own and top marks to the people on them. They're on there because they know and love the vehicles they own and its not a secret circle, they're happy to share the knowledge they have. I had a central locking problem with a T5 I have, solution from the forum- corroded wire under drivers seat! Who would've thunked! I'm also on the splitscreen van club as this was what I had prior to my Zed. US import, flashing red indicators? No problem for the people on the forum to sort out. Moral of the story? Just ask Ok so you didn't think you'd have a problem getting the correct parts but from experience, don't trust people selling you parts, the experts are people that own the vehicles
  24. Gonna put my two penneth in! Awesome cars and all the 'Arabs' in the programme seemed like decent, polite amenable chaps. Not one of the snobs complaining approached them to ask politely if they wouldn't mind not driving their cars at speed past their homes past a certain time. Sure i'm envious of them being born into wealth but i certainly don't begrudge them.
