  1. Drivers side weatherstip fixing has snapped so I guess I need a whole new one as it not repairable? Also drivers side front wheel arch lining sort of disappeared. It went missing after I got my tyres fitted. The garage said they didn't steal it. Weird for it to just fall off though? Anyway need one now. Nissan want stupid money for new ones so anyone got used ones or know of a good breaker?
  2. Thanks mate. Kumho PS91 tyres fitted all round now. Will post my thoughts in a few days. Agreed. Great seating position, makes finding those apexes a joy.
  3. Episode 4 of my 350Z repair and modding series is now live. This week it's all about fitting performance brake parts and seeing what the differences are.
  4. Fitted EBC Bluestuff pads, BSD discs, braided steel brake hose and flushed with racing brake fluid. Here's a pic. I think the BSD discs look ace. The latest video shows the differences between the stock 350Z brake setup and the EBC setup.
  5. Just a quick pic of the Z on track at Bedford.
  6. Thanks Rob. I always appreciate a sub! Next mod is a bucket seat. Something to hold me when on track but, as I still drive the car on the road for hours, it needs to be comfortable. Not sure if to go down the harness route too at this stage. I need to check if a harness is recommended for day to day driving fro a safety point of view.
  7. The exhaust tips looked like the hadn't been cleaned, ever. Took ages and not quite perfect yet but a whole heap better.
  8. Looks interesting. I'll keep my eye on this and may even attempt it if I'm feeling brave! Thanks for sharing.
  9. Cool. Track day on Monday so my video review will be out in a few weeks. Will post my thoughts here in the mean time.
  10. Thanks mate, glad you liked it. My Patreon account will always be happy for a donation....
  11. Hi all, I'm giving my Z a blast around Bedford on Monday. A bit short notice but tickets are still available if you're free. Be good to put a face to the name! http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/trackdays/Bedford-Autodrome/Bedford-Autodrome-6th-August-2018
  12. Ah yes the KU39s. Had them on the Clio track car build I did on my YouTube channel. Good tyre. Struggled a little at Bedford Autodrome but that's to be expected as they are primarily a road tyre. Good firm sidewall on them though and nice turn in.
  13. Saw this a bit late but would like to come. If anyone drops out please add me.
  14. Today I get these bad boys fitted. Been desperate to get the mix of terrible tyres off the car for ages. These are the best road tyres Kumho do, the Ecsta PS91s. Not tried them before so will be interesting to see how they are on the road and track.
  15. Thanks mate, nice to hear you've watched the videos. I'll be at Bedford on Monday 6th Aug. If you're free do pop along. Would be cool to see your Z4. I test drove and nearly got one many years ago before getting my first Z. Yes, absolutely. Gary has to work on Monday otherwise we would have done it then. When he's next free we'll record it.
  16. Here's some sexy brake discs shots of the BSD discs from EBC. Oooooh
  17. There was plenty of other rust on the car and my video shows it all in detail with my plan to tackle it. As well as cutting out the rusted brake lines I also swapped out the corroded member stays. I also upgraded the brakes and fitted EBC BSD grooved discs, steel braided hoses, EBC Bluestuff pads and EBC racing brake fluid. She stops on a dime now. Will be at Bedford Autodrome in a few days to give her a proper test!
  18. Anyway got the rusted steel lines cut out and replaced.
  19. Did a full inspection for rust on the car. A few bits had surface rust but the steel brake lines where they meet the hoses were missing the protective plastic so had rusted quite badly (see pics).
  20. Yes did torque them as per the pic but just doing them up tight would have done. I got the info from the Service Manual. I think a link to it is on this forum?
  21. Big thanks Glen. My Ultra Racing brace was about £140 if I remember so not too pricey if you're looking to get a new one.
