I can't get a sandwich plate that's thermostatic aswell as having a temp sensor port in it I've looked everywhere and called abbey, mishimoto and mocal

Could i just ask the guys with two plates installed did you have to buy an extension bolts that goes through the middle of the plates?

Thats just it the standard gauges then the oil temp one, z1 do a gauge pod for a z but doesn't say if it fits rhd will have to email them Going to get on with putting a kit together today, I've got my auxiliary stuff in the cubby so can't really use that I did think heater vent but that looks a pain

Perfect sounds spot on, looks easy to install aswell Just need to find a suitable gauge pod that fits on the a pillar then I can get cracking with it all Looks like il be compiling a custom kit

Have a relocated your oil filter? You don't have to take anything off when fitting the sandwich plates do you? Looks like I'll be going that way then, so the standard oil filter will fit onto the second plate like standard fit?

So I could run a thermostatic one for the cooler then a non thermostatic one blanked off for the temp sensor? What about an inline sensor in the outlet line?

Would another plate fit into another thermostatic plate though?

Don't really want to have to buy a sump aswell if I can help it, if I run my planned thermostat plate for the oil cooler what plate do I need to run for a sensor only? Apart from the sump plug adapter is there any other options?

Got a question for all the guys running sandwich plates for oil coolers then temp sensors I want to get a temp gauge for the oil at the same time as installing the cooler kit but no thermostatic plates have sensor ports so may need to run another plate? I'm getting a kit which has a thermostatic plate with no sensor port, can I run a non thermostatic one with a sensor port and the inlet and outlet blanked off? Is there any downside to using two plates nothings going to leak etc and will i have enough space for two?

Got my vacuum brake bleeder for sale as its no longer required, its had ATE superblue through it so if your using normal stuff you will need to clean the diapghram no big deal, it comes with all the fittings for universal fitment. Runs on an airline for much easier bleeding To big to post so will need to be collected from Epsom, Surrey £200 PM me if interested Arran

Yeah the clips just screw into the carpet on the BMW they don't go all the way through so should be fine in the z

I had one in my E36 so I'm going to order one of those and you use the carpet screws on BMW's , benefits of working at a dealer

I went to the nurburgring a month ago with a big group of us, took the z on tourist days and tbh I would have found it hard to crash if I'm honest it's just like a great country road where you have the most fun, all you need to do is keep concentrated and be aware of what's coming up and what's coming up behind you, get a feel for the car in the first sections of the track then go for it, for my first ever lap I timed it (people say don't time it but it's really not difficult to just get your passenger to press the buttons and you forget it's timing until the end) and I was really surprised by my time I thought I would have timed alot more, the car is setup up beautifully from the upgrades I've done and it's a real pleasure on track. Learned and bonded alot with it doing the stelvio pass aswell and a 1720 mile European trip we Be safe and aware and you'll have a blast and make sure the car is up to it and sustained abuse

Mines on 73k and original clutch perfectly fine

Does anyone know what size the sensor port is on the mocal 92 degree thermostatic plate is? Im looking at an oil temp gauge which has a 1/8npt fitment i know the block fitment is m20x1.5 on it just need to know the sensor port size Looks like the driftworks kit is winning just need that final info

You will need rear camber arms regardless tbh, that's about all you need
