So after a busy period and yet more stuff still to do before the nurburgring again, I have my car back and all in good health took the car to sly at kaizer and handed him the keys until she was ready to come back. Oil change done and aux belts tightened whilst it was in. I will install my oil catch can this week to keep my plenum nice and clean. Will be turning my attention to the engine bay after I've been away, not going mad on it but what's planned will make it look awesome
I plan on installing the following
Amuse or GT design titanium intake pipe
Evo R titanium engine cover
Blitz blue radiator cap
EPR neo oil cap or if I can find a titanium one
Blue samco radiator hoses
Plenum and strut bar powder coated same colour as the wheels with the strut feet gloss black
Titanium radiator cooling plate
Gold bolt set from paddy
And a properly good detailing/steam clean
Onto the next part of the update, the last two days have seen me tackle the paint and body in time for japfest and Europe. A long old slog but oh so worth it!
Process was as follows for the fellow detailers
Snowfoamed using super snow foam, rinsed,
Washed with 2bm and DJ BTBM, rinsed,
Decontaminated with carpro trix, rinsed, then carpro ironx, rinsed followed by tar removal using autosmart tardis,
Washed again using same method as above,
Clayed using megs detailer clay and last touch as a lube,
Washed yet again with same method,
Dried using last touch as drying aid and using wooly mammoth,
Car taped up with 3m tape,
Polished using megs g220a da machine and sonus sfx2 pad with menzerna power finish pf2500,
Polish oil removed with carpro eraser,
Sealed using zaino z8, also used this on the wheels as a trial,
Tyres dressed with autosmart highsyle,
Exhausts polished with Belgom alu
Stand back and admire 11 hours work!!!! Will be adding further coats of zaino z8 throughout the week, and washing it Friday before japfest. All in all happy to have her back so I can use her properly again and now she looks the part to
Reflection shot
