  1. I think that actually looks better than oem! Nice mate nice! If only it was blue
  2. I was constructive by offering to let you listen to my setup, offer still stands. Wasnt defending my purchases either as I said I find the the amuse titanium the best exhaust for a z (centre and rear box) however seeing as I have the whole lot I will say mine sounds the best, and it does Also the titanium will be quite alot lighter than the stainless version not a tiny bit, supersprint do nice exhausts but at 2700 for a stainless system theres a reason why no one has one, for that money you get titanium
  3. I really do need to get that gopro video of my car going through a german tunnel flat out through 3rd, 4th and 5th You'll soon forget about the supersprint
  4. Vw polo 1.6gl mk4 Bmw e36 328i sport individual 350z
  5. If your going to the meet on 6th july in Sevenoaks id be more than happy to let you listen to my setup
  6. The csl is not exactly engine noise either, its induction noise from the carbon airbox. An example of engine noise is a 1969 yenko camaro 427 And I think you'll find you'll gain more overall with a titanium exhaust like the amuse as the weight is far less than that of stainless like the supersprint. and that setup in the video is way to raspy imo sounds awful. Why not buy 'short' headers instead? A much more tuned sound when combined with motordyne art pipes
  7. If your going to lob as much wedge into an exhaust then forget either of those two. You need the amuse r1 titanium! The best exhaust for the z imo
  8. Fuchs is ester based synthetic a better oil for performance drivin
  9. Thats what I was thinking you overtake on the left I will certainly bear that in mind mate, maybe 2 or 3 days and spa and the same at the ring, will check out the dates available as id like to get on the nurburgring gp track to!
  10. Might have to explore that option next year then, when we went up to the castle we found a lovely little b and b, owner runs the restaurant up there aswell. Will check that out also was quiet around that part just off the road where pistenklause is
  11. I plan on doing spa next year its a must do for me! Will be doing that and the ring again, the model map of the ring in nissans showroom is awesome! Such detail must have taken ages, there was a lovely 370 nismo in there looks so nice ive got to say, we always stay at the lindner hotel opposite the complex nice and easy to get everywhere and its only 140euro a night split between 2 people is nothing really. Dont know what I can do to the car now for next year! cam it or charge it
  12. I had my hazards and full beams on mate still couldn't see me shooting up that fast!
  13. Thanks Kyle it's actually really easy to install well worth the effort. Finding a gauge pod was the only stumbling block but I used the oem one, got a universal gauge pod and gave it to the bodyshop guy at work and told him to make it fit, looks great!
  14. The cooler, mounts and sandwhich plate are all mocal mate, then the lines and fittings aeroquip, and finally the blue sandwhich plate is r spec and gauge pro sport. Mostly all from merlin motorsport Cheers ceejay, it certainly has got the go to match its looks along with the sound! Around the twisties of the swiss alps last year before I had flywheel, manifolds etc he had to let me pass as I was stuck literally to his rear bumper, he didnt have the performance bmw brakes he has now but that wouldn't have mattered to much imo, I know the m3s handle well as does the z so im sure its all down to driver and confidence. My laps were faster aswell but again they are pretty even apart from braking where the z is miles better, its all about how fast you dare round the ring tbh so again down to driver. I always keep a little in reserve so I know im getting round in one piece unlike another mate who binned his e36 m3 vert in the wet.
  15. Cheers sam I was going to do it the way you have as I looked at your setup when searching for info. I spoke to mocal and merlin motorsport and they said if I hang it like that with no rubber mounts the warranty is void as the cooler could be shaken by vibration and the core could split. So they said use the mounts instead, although I will keep an eye on them every time the car is up in the air and buy a couple spare incase I need them. Cheers for the info
  16. I will convert them and get them up, got a great one going through a german tunnel all the way through 3rd,4th and most of 5th the sound is unreal!
  17. Edited now fella cheers mate was another epic trip! Cant wait to go again already
  18. So another European/Nurburgring trip has been and gone, have to say i love driving this car even more than ever, not just normal driving as that doesnt count but proper fast driving either on track or road. The car is just brilliant, the way the chassis is balanced it never feels front heavy or tail snappy unless provoked, it handles sublimely and is pretty forgiving if you end up going a little to fast into a bend, a bit of trial braking doesnt seem to phase it. Then theres the brakes, when you require strong braking from well over a 100mph its nice and progressive with great bite also i havent been able to cook them yet! and they have taken some punishment. The response out of corners and when you require initial acceleration is wonderful, i put most of that down to the flywheel and all the breathing mods. I could go on all night about the different aspects of the car but really its when driving the thing that all the information is fed back to you about how great these things are when build for purpose. Anyway enough of my rambling to make sure the blue beast was going to stay in the best/most reliable state during the trip and thereafter the oil cooler and temp gauge were installed. What a great mod this is for anyone who likes to actually drive there Z's on track the oil never went over 106c! on the autobahns it was always around 88-95c, around town it can range from 85-100c, Whilst the bumper was off i took the chance to fit clear reflectors, led sidelight, silver indicator and 6k HID dipped beam bulbs, refreshes the front end nicely and the lights look alot more modern now. Win win Two sandwhich plates, one for oil lines and the other for temp sensor Mounted using mocal mounts Aeroquip fittings and aeroquip socketless hose Also installed Blox magnetic sump plug Butyl tape used to stop any rubbing on the hose Wiring in gauge, through scuttle panel and passenger footwell upto drivers a pillar Gauge all working, a view from the office I will upload the gopro videos when they are coverted to proper format, but here are some photos from the trip. Theres many more but these are the pick of the bunch Nissan Nurburgring showroom Mate of mines phoenix yellow (jewish racing gold ) E46 M3 in the background Managed to find a ring camera shot of me just about to go for a lap One night the whole group (25 of us!) headed down the Adenau to go onto the track and make our mark was great getting to walk on the most hallowed 12.9 miles of tarmac in the world, had to lie down! Couldnt resist actually making a mark over fresh tarmac Also not the best photo (162mph) but got my mate to take a photo when i was trying to do a top speed run but no matter how many times i tried there was always car up ahead in the way, i got to 166 on gps and she was sitting at 5600rpm so im guessing with the 7200rpm limit with the map the Z will do around 180mph, it was still pulling nicely at that speed and felt so planted no lift whatsoever, i will hit the top speed on next years trip! Will get on with the videos and theres plans for a few futher mods but nothing drastic, hope you enjoyed the read Cheers Arran
  19. Wonder if the samco stuff will do the trick if its like my intake hose from samco then I should be more than up to the job. Fuel hose is a good idea though
  20. Morning all Fitted my oil catch tank before the ring trip but the hosing I had was not up to the task at all, you could hear the vacuum inside the hosing and as soon as you squeezed the hose it would stay closed. I reckon I need a stronger reinforced hose. What are you guys with catch tanks using? Preferably id like blue hosing but could go clear if needed Cheers Arran
  21. That looks great! Id have different wheels personally but that looks awesome regardless. Love the carbon gear
  22. That SL looks like a 4x4, horrid
