  1. Yes and that is what I used but I still managed to mess it up I used to host the photos on my own website and that worked but I must have done something a bit wrong with photobucket
  2. I tried earlier to post a photo of my daughter holding Mia the Chi and it has sort of worked but it's not quite right as you can see writing underneath the photo. I used to be able to put photos on but now I can't remember how to do it properly. Can anyone explain what I did wrong please?
  3. You might regret making that offer now you can see clearly again
  4. Thanks Dave. A pretty boy chauffeur would be nice but I've got my hands full with the farmer - he he
  5. http://Pretty husky. I wish they could stay as puppies for ever too. Mia is doing her best - lol Here's a pic of her and my daughter Sorry I seem to have messed up putting the photo on!!
  6. Aw, cute kitty Pete. I think if I were a cat I would come and live with you and Caroline. You seem like really good cat owners slipstream, Mia will sit for treats, do 'high 5', come when called, unless something distracts her and I can walk her off lead now. She also knows to go to her crate when it's feed time. She is toilet trained but unless you put her outside every hour or so, she still has accidents from time to time due to the size of her bladder! She is a good watchdog and always barks to let me know if someone is around. She'll never make a guard dog, ha ha, and my shooting instructor's idea that she could be a gun dog seems a bit dubious too I must say she is a splendid dog though and I am so glad we got her even though another farmer who called round at the house for some skeet vests to be embroidered this afternoon called her 'a real handbag dog'. I told him she was never going in any handbag on my watch She's a brave little thing and nothing phases her but I don't treat her like a toy because she is a dog after all.
  7. Sorry LRF4N, only just read this. Everything is a bit up in the air at present because he might be getting an office in London which would be far easier to get to on the train/tube than the one in Weybridge. Keeping our fingers crossed that he will soon need to be in London more than Surrey. He will still need to travel to europe twice a month for a week at a time. I think we need to wait a while before making the final decision. I'm going ahead with the test drives and he will hire a car for his next trip to see how that works out. Life was much simpler when he only commuted an hour and a half each way but needs must and all that.
  8. Sorry to be so curious but why do you do all the housework rabbitstew? If you'd rather not answer then please ignore that question
  9. Ha ha, good try old boy If you're not careful I will drive down to Dorset tomorrow in the Dacia and leave it in the Zed Shed whilst I escape with something a little more stylish
  10. Come on Keyser old chap, you know I am bonkers in a good way
  11. Mia has just turned one and she burrows under everything including the other dog's bed when she is lying in it She's very small for a Chi and quite wilful but overall a lovely, friendly dog. How old is yours and is she well trained? I'm finding it much harder to train Mia than any other dog I've owned, not because she is stupid, far from it, but she is so full of energy that getting her to calm down and listen to instructions is a challenge
  12. I've heard of naming pets, but giving Lavender a surname is a bit much twobears But she was a very posh chicken don't you know!! Her full name was Lady Lavender Wyandotte-Farquharson
  13. Don't be too pessimistic rabbitstew. I am old, not retirement age admittedly, but I still ride my horse and shooting isn't age dependent so I hope to do it for years to come. I'm sure you will still have a bit of life left in you in 30 years
  14. Sorry Keyser old mate. Oops, did I just do it again? And as for the rest of you, please keep your impure thoughts to yourselves This is a self-portrait I'll have you know
  15. Amazing photo Ferrets are pretty nasty too, especially hungry ferrets. Had some chickens killed right in front of my eyes a few years back. I managed to capture the ferret eventually but he killed or maimed a lot of my birds before I could get the little devil. I was tempted to finish him off but I know he was just acting according to his instincts so I gave him to a man who keeps ferrets that same afternoon as I couldn't bear to keep looking at him (ferret, not man) after he'd killed my favourite Lavender Wyandotte
  16. Does anyone have one of those "tunnel" type dog beds for their dog? I am talking about fleece fabric tunnels which stay open for the dog to burrow into. I want to make one for my Chihuahua but I need to figure out what to use to keep the mouth of the tunnel open. Can't use metal wire because it would be dangerous but not sure what to use instead unless I can source some sort of plastic equivalent ? Not 100% sure on what wadding to use to stuff it with either so if anyone has one that their dog has destroyed so you can see the construction please let me know. Thanks
  17. Keyser, yes, I'll say it - "You are an old cynic" Got to admit that my plan was always to marry either a farmer or a vet. Didn't work out very well as Mr Twobears doesn't know one end of a turnip from the other My best friend is a landowner and large scale farmer though and he is very well trained. I just texted him to tell him I was missing him so could he call round and bring me some wheat (for my ducks and geese) and he was here with 10 mins, bless him
  18. As a stripper? Please say you don't or I will have to order the Tesco value brain bleach again
  19. I don't know anything about Mazda but I will go and look at their website in case it appeals to Mr Twobears. Thank you
  20. Colin, that sounds like a good plan to me. I will ask him what he thinks. When I was living in Weybridge (until this weekend ) he could use my car if he wanted to but he never needed to because he had a driver to transport him around so I think he may be panicking unnecessarily about not having his own car in Yorkshire He's not coming back to Yorkshire until May so he's got a while to think about it. I just don't want to do the wrong thing again because my track record for choosing cars is so poor and Mr Twobears has never ever chosen one except off the company car list like I said. It's making my head hurt a bit
  21. But that is not what he's saying. He is saying that, if he spends a decent amount of money on a new car he expects it to have more than just a very basic cockpit. He doesn't expect or need a cheap car to be luxurious. He just wants it to take him to the airport and back, not to have hot and cold running champagne and dancing girls. Hopefully, I have finally explained what I mean Are Dacias unreliable? I've no idea. I bought an Alfa that let me down almost every trip and everyone told me I shouldn't have bought it but I didn't know Can you suggest something else I should look at? I'm trying my best but I am the world's worst at choosing cars.
  22. Fords were for me and my daughter, not him. We choose them and have been very pleased with them He knows cheap cars are horrible. We all know cheap cars are horrible. He just wants a cheap car for a couple of years to do the job he wants it for and then he will buy what he really wants. I'll get me coat and I'll pick up Mr Twobears jacket on the way out as well Unless anyone else has any advice for me that doesn't involve BMWs or Dacias? I feel like this is turning into a problem already and I've got too much on my plate trying to buy the house. Aaargh
  23. I'm not techy at all but I thought that even the most massive companies entrusted their data to the cloud (whatever that may be )?
