  1. PM forum member 4RELeather, it's what he does
  2. I'm going to call them and book her in today. Hopefully get it done in the next couple of weeks. Mark (PH 7), the price I was quoted was for the rear window only. Can't imagine the quarters would be much more. They said the job would take a few hours in total, so I'm going to ask if I can stick around and take some pics during the process. They do a lot of work for the Civic forums and owners club, so I did name drop our forum and mentioned that I might be able to send some work there way from Zed owners (I was hoping for a discount - it didn't work). But the price seem very reasonable anyway.
  3. Do you mean the grooved and dimpled ones? I've bought some and some Brembo pads - but haven't fitted them yet. Helpful huh? Ph7 has some fitted to his 350Z and I spoke to him about them at a meet in April before buying mine (I also looked at his too). He'd had them fitted for around 6-7000 ,iles in April and they're on his daily driver. No reported issues at all and the performance was good. I forgot to ask what pads he was using with them. Drop him (Ph7 - Mark) a PM for any more details mate
  4. Stopping was the easy bit - it was the getting going again without becoming your new bonnet ornament that proved difficult
  5. It is high and can be adjusted. But you do get used to it. I recall a very nervous hill start when I was still 'getting used' to mine. I'm sure Brillo remembers it too as he was right behind me!
  6. cfoster, you're clearly not a novice at this, what previous wrapping experience have you got? What else have you wrapped other than your previous Merc?
  7. Yes, I meant to add that mine survived the entire Wales weekend as well, although I did have my doubts when I hit one particular cattle grid
  8. Good call Pete. Maybe replace the 'dots/pips' above the post count (as I'm not entirely sure of their purpose), with location? It was a useful piece of info on the 'old' forum.
  9. Where's Wacky Will gone. He loved (said sarcastically) Trade Link (although had never visited them). They're a member on here (MyFairlady I think) and have always had the bottle to respond to any feedback. The OP does not entirely sing their praises and does point out a few items/imperfections with the car that 'could' of been sorted by the dealer before putting up for sale. Seems like a genuine sale, from a decent dealer and an honest bit of feedback. Congrats on your new purchase. Happy Zedding :
  10. Thanks all. Will be booking it in in the next coupla weeks hopefully. I did consider geting the vinyl from RT, but with all the ambition and luck in the world, I know it (the vinyl) will just end up as a screwed up ball and with me in a very bad mood I know my limits, I'll leave something like this to the experts
  11. Cheers Me likey. Wish I hadn't bothered wrapping my rear strut cover now - as you won't be able to see it once the window's done
  12. Hi All, Been quoted £150 to have the roof wrapped gloss black and the rear window dark tinted to match (by the same company). That's £80 for the wrap and £70 for the tint. Any thoughts (on prices and the actual mods themselves)? Cheers, Ian

  16. Hi All, As per title, I'm after a small length (about 2-3cm) of black heat shrink. I'm just looking to cover something approx 8mm in diameter. Anyone have any scrap/spare pieces they could chuck in an envelope for me? Naturally I'm happy to pay postage. Cheers,Ian
  17. Hello and Wendy. There's often a meet happening somewhere in the West Mids (about an hour from you - I know as I've a mate in Banbury). A couple of members drive up from Leamington too. Keep an eye on the regional meets sections
