    Whose Z

Could you correct the title too Mike?
  4. Gutted for you Kev. Be interesting to see if feedback is left from a buyer. Just to add a little more to story, the seller is the salvage yard that quoted 7.5k for a repair. IMHO I think they always intended for it to be written off and by quoting such a high amount for a repair, knowing it would reduce the value of the car to the insurance company. Scenario - salvage yard tells insurance company it's a complete mess and offers to buy it off them at a very low price, knowing that he'll get more for it due to the minimal damage and low mileage and excellent pre-accident condition etc. Then lists it on eBay in a short term auction (before Cat C or D is confirmed, hence the reason it could still be driven away). Dirty tactics and very underhand, but nothing technically wrong.
  5. Happy birthday. Have a great day

    Strut bar bolts

Might be able to help you out there Vlad. I've just (today) bought a pack of M10 1.25 pitch chromed stainless bolts to replace my own strut brace bolts. Should be here in a few days. 35mm long though, Only need 6 (and 2 nuts) but had to fork out for a larger pack. Will let you know when they arrive and what they're like. But will have some spare
  7. Awaits post from Vlad.... "Think my speedo is broken. When I'm driving the needle keeps climbing as my speed increases, then dropping down before climbing again. Oh hold on, that's my rev counter".
  8. Oi! I like the colour. KTM orange is far better than Kawasaki green Still sat on the fence at the moment. Starting to get splinters now though. Wouldn't they fit in the mini? They're already colour matched
  9. What a read! What a project! What a colour! Looking forward to following it's progress. Sorry I was a late arrival.

    Drivers seat (elec)

If buying one seat, or as a pair and replacing just one, there might be a risk of the seats (your existing passengers and the 'new' driver) being 2 different shades. The 'black' seats are not black from new, they're an anthracite. With advice from Peter at 4RE Leather, it's years of use and generic black cleaning products that make them appear black. Just something to bear in mind.
  11. Thanks Matt. The template I use was created by drawing round the OEM divider.
  12. If it's just springs that are fitted, and they are Eibach, they'll be a 30mm drop. Used standard OEM springs often come up on here and eBay for not much money, you can then (once OEM are fitted), sell the Eibach to recoup any loss. Alternatively get some Tein springs which are a 17mm Front and 15mm Rear drop for about £140 new - then sell the Eibach. I have the Tein fitted and do not have any issues with speed bumps.
  13. Never been to the TT, but watch it (and the run up) on TV. Amazes me every year at the jaw-dropping skill of the riders. Also find it great that when the riders take their helmets and leathers off, they're (mostly) your average Joe. Hislop, Hutchinson, Jeffries and of course, Guy Martin. The list goes on. Legends
  14. I used to blame the weather for me not riding my bike, but now I have a new scapegoet - My Zed. My car is mostly the reason I sold the last 748. I couldn't justify leaving it sat there in the garage and still having to change the belts on it every 2 years regardless, so I sold it and bought the GSX-R and pocketed some dollar (which ended up being spent on the Zed). Just leave it plugged into the Optimate and get it out if I feel like it, which is not very often now
  15. Apologies if this is a re-post but I couldn't find a thread when searching. There's a successful thread for the 'awful' kind of bikes without engines (OP's words, not mine), but what about bikes WITH an engine? I think there are a number of members that also own or have owned a motorcycle, so, what ya got? What you had? I've been riding since I passed my CBT at the age of 16 on a freezing November morning, in a pair of waterproof gloves (that weren't), a pair of trainers and a ski jacket. Here's my list: Suzuki TS50X Kawasaki KDX125 Honda CB250N (Yes, a Superdream - bought as a project to work on as my first 'prper' bike till I passed my full test). Yamaha XV750 Virago (a bit 'choppered' with flames on the tank - don't ask....) Yamaha FZR250RR EXUP (JDM Import. 250cc, 4 cylinders, 16 valves and Redlined at 19,000 RPM)! Kawasaki ZXR400 Suzuki GSF600 Bandit (Jacked up and 'fightered) Yamaha TRX850 And then my love affair with mid to late 90's sports bikes kicked off... Kawasaki ZXR750 J2 Honda CBR900R Fireblade (The foxeye one) Yamaha YZF750R (Cadbury's Boost replica) Ducati 748S Triumph Daytona 600 Ducati 748S (yes another one) My current bike is a Suzuki GSX-R750 SRAD WV
  16. To save Peter's (4RE Leather's) fingers (and time), I thought I paste a message he sent me when I enquired about my seats "Due to the overwhelming requests to advice people I put some DIY picture tutorals up. Go to forums\professional tradersand click on 4re leather. http://www.350z-uk.c...ather-cleaning/ It is a long thread but there is a complete guide from where to buy the products and what ones to use, to how to DIY. Jackie the owner of buffalo leather has Nissan 350z Anthracite on her colour matching computer. All addresses and prices are in the threads somewhere. Most important is you have to use conditioner every 2 weeks in summer and once a month in the winter.. because yours has started to dry out I would suggest keeping a couple of white pillow cases in tne car to slip over them when your not in the car and face it away from the sun where ever possible. Any issues then let me know. Regards Peter
