  1. I rarely see a Zed in Kiddy, there's a roadster I see now and again, but he's not on the forum. If your other half said she'd seen a car like yours with black wheels, it could well have been mine ( my first spot). I'm Wolverley side of the town (Broadwaters) so keep 'em peeled. There's generally always something planned in the West Mids, so keep your eye on the regional meets section - you just missed a huge convoy last weekend of 16 Zeds as we met up an went to Zed Fest. Not that it'll make you feel any better, but here's what you missed http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/74776-the-cars-of-zed-fest-2013-photos-video/ Hopefully see you soon!
  2. Hello and Tim. I'm in Kidderminster - whereabouts are you mate?

    Aftermarket exhaust

I might let my used Japspeed K2 backbox go with my custom made centre section which has only done about 200 miles! Can be seen in my build thread. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/67814-me-and-my-zed-update-110813-engine-bay-tangod/page__st__120 I was holding onto it, just in case I didn't like the K1 I've now got, but I do, so it's surplus to requirements. Ideally would like £200 collected from West Mids as the centre section alone cost almost this.
  5. Search for 'orange conduit' (Conduit is what the corregated piping is called). Got it from a place called Boost Junkies. And you can stop with the 'get orange seats' aswell! I SHALL NOT cave in to peer pressure
  6. Cheers Will. I've still got some orange paint left, so "waste not, want not" I've already started phase 2 Watch this space.......
  7. Get this. Job done: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/74735-brand-new-cobra-exhaust/
  8. I tried to get a nicer, louder sound by changing the mid section only. Stock is a 2.25 inch diameter wit hthe silencer, I changed it to a 3 inch diameter section with no silencer. Before After It really didn't make the difference I was hoping for. I does change the sound marginally, but as the OEM (and Japspeed K2 I had fitted) back box is chambered, the exhaust gases still faced the same obstacles before exiting the system. Needless to say I shortly after changed to a K1 In a nutshell, and as the others have said, for loud - decat, for a nicer sound - backbox/Y pipe back system.
  9. Jeez, that looks like a bad scratch yo. All the way from the trunk to the hood? Was it parked on the freeway or the sidewalk? to the UK forum BTW
  10. OK, I'm wrong. Looks like you can get 10mm bolt on. The nuts holding them on must be very thin/narrow then.
  11. I don't think you can get 10mm bolt on spacers.
  12. It's a private sale, so you (as a seller) normally advertise at a slightly increased price, and then expect to haggle a bit. If the history is good and it's a nice clean example, I'd be happy if I got it for £6k. Good luck
  13. Nice start Ben. No doubt the progress will continue
  14. Here you go mate. Who needs photoshop when you've got MSPaint? I even colour matched your door handles and mirrors
  15. Toothy, that is BRILLIANT! Thank you! Timelapse? Looked real time to me
  16. Try Platidip first Bob. I think the Plastidip blue is a similar colour. Easy to reverse if you don't like it, but if you do, break the rattle cans out (if you've got any left after Netti's engine bay)
  17. ....... and I actually really like it! I know that maybe a controversial comment, given the bad reputation Japspeed have around these parts and in a lot of the cases, many of the nagative comments are deserved. But I thought I'd stand up and fight the Crapspeed corner for once. When I had the opportunity of picking up a used K1 from a fellow forum member, I thought "why not"? I'll give it a go and see what all the fuss is about. Worst case scenario I'll just sell it on eBay. I hoped as it had already been fitted to a Zed that I wouldn't have any fitment issues - and I didn't. I went straight on without problem. The quality (for a budget system) seems fine to me and polishes up quite nicely. I painted the bungs with some BBQ paint and left my bumper 'tucked' so the pipe can be seen (Cue photo). Now, the noise, or should that be THE NOISE! Yes, it's loud, but it's a deep, rumble, non raspy kind of loud. I've left the bungs in as it's my daily driver and leave for work at 6.40am everyday. But it's a nice loud. I don't think I've ever driven so much with my window down before, just so I can hear the exhaust note. Tunnels and bridges are a blast and make me chuckle everytime I pass beneath one. It has had a negative effect on my fuel ecomony though - simply because when possible, and conditions allow, I'll back off the gas just to step on the loud pedal again! I was reserving judgement until after I'd driven to Zed Fest the weekend just gone, as I knew this would involve a long stretch up the motorway - prime drone territory. Yes, it does drone a bit, but the noise/drone you can hear is just the sound of the exhaust. It is totally bareable and (I don't think) intrusive. It's a deep sounding, loud exhaust, that makes people turn their heads to see what it is that is coming, rather than look at you after you've passed. And just for the record, my Y pipe and cats etc are all standard. The K1 is from the Y pipe back. Go ahead Japspeed haters, tell me I'm talking rubbish. I just thought I'd share my experience with my own K1.
  18. He's certainly 'tagged' your engine bay Netti
  19. £5.75 I know prices have dropped recently, but is that all they're worth now
  20. My productivity plummeted when I realised I could still get on the forum at work
