  1. But I'm not trying to convert the gearbox, I'm asking if my Auto box will fit on a manual engine as I want to do an engine change.
  2. So I'm thinking of buying a donar engine to rebuild whilst mine stays running, what I need to know from you Zed GOD's is are the UK and JDM engines the same and could I fit my Auto box on what was original ya manual engine. Any help would be really appreciated.
  3. Hey could you let us know how much you want for the heads please I don't need the cams just the actual heads.
  4. Yeh mine has so il be in the paddocks aswell
  5. It's currently got wheels, coilovers , updated front pads and I will uprate the rears when I change them next and I have semi stripped the car and yes the little I have taken out I did notice a difference. And in terms of them engine build I would just like to do something abit different from the norm I found a video on you tube of a silver time attack zed that has big cams on it and fell in love with the sound.
  6. Also another problem I have is I have to drive autos so don't want to put to much strain on the box as there not that easy to come by. So I'm looking at 300-350Bhp if it's possible. I shall have a read through that thread thanks for the link.
  7. I understand I'm not going to see stupid gains but I'm more looking for abit more power and response, and I want it to sound crazy. I plan on keeping the zed indefinitely and constantly upgrading bits slowly. I'm also not comfortably running the engine very close to its limit all the time say 390 Bhp.
  8. I'm just spit balling at the moment for possible future plans but I'm quite happy with the performance of my zed but would like abit more. I understand why people go for the usual forced induction route as it's the best performance per pound. I don't want to go for crazy performance but really like the thought of a decent NA build. So what I'm thinking is big cams, bigger valves, valve springs, manifolds, port and polishing and any cooling and fueling mods that would be need doing. I read ages ago that in the Zeds you can only go to a certain size cams without work, any info from you engine building gods would be great.
  9. What cost a bomb the parts or the postage? I've been looking at cams and manifolds on there and they seem very well priced.
  10. I've been looking at parts on Nengun and was wondering if anyone had bought parts from them? Also do you have to pay customs ect? Any help would be great cheers guys.
  11. Il be going to both Audi is going in hot hatch Sunday, and am awaiting a response on the zed.
  12. I know how selfish You ment to stay in the car and they only had 9 mins Chin up tho dude she will be better next time around.
  13. Isn't the idea to warm your car up slowly aswell to stop the metal heating up to quickly and cracking say a head that's what I've been taught. Kind of like you don't put boiled water on an icy windscreen for the same reason.
  14. Ah balls abit far for me to travel really dude, sorry.
  15. Where are you based mate interested in the skirts please, dibs lol
  16. At the end of the day I've posted on here to help out a potential new owner with facts and personal experience, alot of people slate the autos and have never been in one. Then had people jumping down my throat calling me a liar, all I've done is try and help.
  17. Il just leave this here proof it will go past the red line
  18. My birthday Saturday think birthday monies will be getting me a set of these lol, any pictures of them fitted? Great price aswell, and Yeh I was on about securing the canyards.
  19. Ok your right I don't know my own car.
  20. Ah it's ok I'm in no rush, so will these be screwed on or pot rivited?
  21. Mmmmmmmm more carbon roughly what will be the price of these? I need to change my side diffusers to carbon aswell.
  22. Well my Auto can go past the red line, and what I mean is with old full autos you couldn't change down a gear before a corner so you just coasted around in a high gear in low revs, where as with a triptronic I can down shift to the correct gear and accelerate round the corner there for giving me more grip/ control than if I had coasted round in a higher gear.
  23. Auto box is realy good you can change gear yourself and take it beyond the red line if you wish. And as said on country lanes grip is not a problem as you can change down gears for more grip. If you find an auto you like I'd say go for it.
