I fitted my mishimoto oil cooler kit with thermostatic sandwich plate, hks oil filter, and mishimoto magnetic sump plug. Really good quality kit I'm really pleased with it, took me six hours to fit tho and I still need to put that bumper back on in the morning but I gave up after six hours in the cold.

I can't believe he has used bathroom waste pipes for the intercooler, surely they will melt.

Mine was bad then I had four wheel alignment done and it transformed the car, it's worth having that checked cost me £40

I would say you could borrow my garage but there's a boat and engine in the way, looks like the rain should clear up by the afternoon.

What I did was Jack it up put wood under the wheels to give me about 6" that should help.

Your not the only one mate I fitted mine on my own and didn't enjoy the experience, you can just use the existing bolts

felt guilty that I bought the zed presents, so bought the A3 some 2010 rear lights and a new grill lol.

It's been a long time coming but my zed has been treated to a pioneer double din DVD player and a reversing camera, what did everyone else get for Christmas for there zed?

Bought it for myself three years ago as a Christmas present, I have done loads to her and still have alot more to do. When I bought her I did not expect to keep it this long but I now don't plan on ever selling it, just constantly improving it.

I exsect they will want to fit Nissan parts, one to price them up and two they will probably say they will only fit genuine parts.

I met bob and chris a few weeks ago for some advice and I just want to say a huge thank you to the both of you. After a year and a half of no music in the zed due to the common problems with the Bose head unit I decided to upgrade to a pioneer DVD unit. Bob helped me with what cables ect I needed and yesterday when I had countless problems fitting it he was there to offer invaluable advise. I managed to get it fitted but the fit is not great and a few things like the radio are not working currently, for anyone local to bob and chris I would defiantly get bob to fit it for you, for the little he charges at least you wouldn't spend hours struggling like I did. I have fitted multiple head units before but fitting one to a zed is a whole other ball game. I shall pop over to you bob in the new year when I have bought my reversing camera and see if you can get the rest of the features working. I definitely owe you some donuts and beers as it is

It's not a tt but I've had my 2004 A3 2.0 tdi DSG for over five years now, I can honestly say I would not go without another Audi diesel if I sold mine. It is now on 155k miles and I will list all faults with it since I have owned it since 88K, flywheel and turbo changed (£1200)about 5k ago, radiator fans (£250) at around 100k, throttle body inlet flap (£250) 89k and just general servicing. Considering the mileage and age of the car I would say that it is very reliable and it is remapped on a long run I can average 55-60 mpg. Pottering around town I average 40-42 mpg. I would also say build quality is very good compared to your French cars or vauxhall sand fords the seats ect all seem very hard wearing. Also audi diesels depreciate very slowly compared to other makes.

Thanks for the help, I'm not bothered about steering wheel controls tho as I swapped my wheel about six months ago. I just need the cables to connect it and the radio thing so I can actually listen to the radio.

I need to change my head unit in the zed as the cd facility has not worked for over a year now so going to change it for Christmas. Please could anyone with info help me please. I want a DVD player unit and be able to connect my iPod and phone and possibly add a reversing camera at some point. Phone Bluetooth would be great to take calls on the move. Also I think I need something to do with the radio as it's an import if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance guys I would search through previous threads for the answers but I don't have a huge amount of time at the mo and would like to get. It all ordered soon.
