Hi mate, I'm 20 (21 in less than a week) and just picked mine up yesterday. You'll love it, so awesome choice of car. Regarding your question on budget I would say that you'll either need to go for a higher mileage one or you come across the odd Cat D (write off but the best kind if that makes sense...google it!). I don't know much about Cat Ds other than they are much cheaper. There seems to be a lot of talk on the internet about these costing more to insure but when I asked admiral they said it didn't but they needed to know anyway. The clutch issue from what I can gather seems to vary...for some folk it's given out after 40k miles, other's have reached 100k+ and never been changed. In terms of whether they're JDM imports or not look out for ones that are "Fairlady Nissan 350"...these ones are imports but again as far as I know there's no major issue with this The biggest piece of advice I could give is be prepared to walk away. Despite them being far from the most common car around there are plenty available so hold out for the right one for you. Regarding any other mechanical bits and bobs I'm no expert so I'll leave that to those who are! Good luck with the search

Having only had my Zed since yesterday evening I can already say it's had a few reactions Just parking outside my house and the local school bus had just got back…a group of kids walked past and stopped and stared Also had a filthy look from a woman at a petrol station and just a few folk looking back as I drive past Didn't buy it for attention but certainly is a bonus haha

Hey guys, after a fairly lengthy search I finally found the one for me. It's a Gun Metal Grey, 07 plate with around 45k on the clock I drove it back from the dealers (about an hours drive) and bloody hell I LOVE IT. For the first few minutes I was too scared to put my foot down but when I did....whoa! The only thing was filling it up...I forgot to ask how to open the petrol cap and must have been sitting at the station for about 5 minutes trying to figure it out haha. I'll get some pics up tomorrow when it's light Wooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

Glad you're enjoying it so much mate, makes me all the more excited to pick mine up! I viewed 9 in total I believe travelling up to 6 hours to view a couple. In the end I found one from a dealer around an hour away and hope to pick it up tomorrow (although may have to hold off until Thursday). It's a GT..07 plate with around 40k on the clock. Bit of a pity about the higher road tax but it was too good to miss! Looking forward to seeing some pics!

Congrats mate. I just put a deposit down for one yesterday and pick it up later this week! I feel your pain with travelling all over the place and having your time wasted by owners and dealers whose cars are scratched to bits and yet describe them as "immaculate"

Don't get me started on cyclists. Round here I keep seeing them riding on dual carriage ways and the taybridge (not the cycle/footpath). Very dangerous when you come round a corner picking up speed and then see a cyclist ambling along especially when there's another car in the right hand lane!

I absolutely never see these Zeds round Dundee. I saw one a couple of weeks ago for the first time in goodness knows how long. Makes me want one even more!

I can understand both points of view. I suspect it probably has been serviced but without the paperwork obviously there's no guarantees. I've got an HPI check done and all checked out fine and have booked an inspection (£249…ouch!). In the mean time though I'm going to try and contact the previous owners and Nissan to try and get some info.

I'd imagine for a minimum of 3 years. This is what I'm thinking of doing...
